Do you guys kill the hog shortly after letting the dogs chew their ears off? I kind of cringed seeing this & I am not a bleeding heart vegetarian or anything. I also think it would be good to shoot them before hanging them upside down by their legs.

Sometimes the hunters have buyers for the live hogs, because they can be harvested later instead of needing to be butchered immediately. The hog-tied animal being weighed was probably caught in a box trap or cage trap. This is a better way to hunt than with rifles/shotguns, but not as much fun!
