Guys.Wardi Elsagheer is not the same legendery Wardi everyone knows....he was called Wardi Eslsagheer which in Arabic means Wardi Junior or Young Wardi or Little Wardi...you get the idea. He showed a promising future when he first started singing and he continued throughout the whole eighties if my kiddo memory back then was good.

I am one of ethiopians who do love Sudanese music (especially old sudanese songs by singers like Wardi, al khalifa , abdelaziz etc.. ) reading some of the comments above it is sad to know that the video been destructed. Musical heritage is a treasure to be passed from generation to generation. Music is in itself a language, and represent the people and culture of a nation. peace !!

I was 7yers at the time of this great performance and great program that they had back then, but the funny part is that I met most of these people in the states(usa) =and I recognize a lot of the musicians(instroment)players.h­ow sad is that(all the talent and great performers live any where but sudan....

even the singer lives in los angeles now...
