i was thinking of putting lots of little motors atop my car roof to power my cd player with series wind power but i may do this instead, if i may ... please? i wont sell it.. just for my own use

i had an idea similar to that years ago before i even had a car but now relise that it would make my mpg fall so much because of the drastically increased drag. You could keep it in the boot when not driving then use it for that when your parked up rather than leave the engine on or use the battery

You know, when I was little I used to string audio cassette tapes between trees or poles.

When the wind hit it, it "sings". A more dramatic version is a device shaped like a violin bow with the hair replace with a thin strip of palm leave or the afore mentioned audio tape. Mount it a fairly large kite.

Fly high enough and keep it afloat for days.

If you live in rural area where the nights are quiet enough, you could hear the bow sings with pleasant random notes.
