  • Is this the official video or fan made? It's brilliant either way!

  • 100% McCartney-sounding

  • SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY ROCKS!

  • Wow! I like this song. A lot.

  • My 65-year old ex-teachers favorite video;) He hated smokers.

  • absolutely genius

  • thibault312.blog.mongenie.com/

  • Very 'White Album' kind of arrangement, but with a modern twist......not bad at all.

  • this is UNREAL live!!

I've heard it twice.. it gets better every time, so friggin trippy too!! LOVE IT

  • @TomCarrollPiano

    Agreed!

  • OMG!!! This is 'The Prisoner'!!!!!!

    :D

  • <3<3<3<3<33333 i love YOUU PAULL !!

  • esta cura el video

  • awsomenezz ^_^

  • i like the fireman but when it comes to this stuf...the fireman needs to keep paul mccartney out of the picture. when you hear this, you know its mccartney. when you hear other stuff from the fireman, you can hardly tell its paul...this is just an updated wings! sorry paul. i still love you forever!

  • The Fireman is Paul McCartney and Youth, just two guys. But I understand where you're coming from. I really like the material that doesn't sound like Paul McCartney as well. And its a chance for Paul to be as un-McCartney as possible... he should always make the most of it. Nevertheless, The Fireman partnership has produced some of the most interesting music I've ever heard Paul do (222 is a favorite)... real gems.

  • @Keruaran The two best bands really,Killing Joke and The Beatles.

  • i didnt think much of fireman compared to most of pauls stuff, but this is cool

  • This is one of not very many McCartney songs that sound better live than on the record.

So please DON'T WATCH THIS VIDEO, look up the live version from citi field instead! The live version is much tighter, it rocks more and Pauls voice comes out better. It is not as messy as this version.

  • @Nierenmeter Couldn't agree with you more. And the live version on this song on the "Live at New York City" album just released is also amazingly good.

  • He played this at the cowboys stadium the other night. I had never heard of it before then. I think this tune really stands out among his newer stuff. I really dig it.

  • I was there to IHeart, a great concert, with wonderful talent. I immediately liked this song, and Sing the Changes. Two of the best songs he has written in a while.

  • when i bought this album a few months ago, i went home and listened to it, but the cover CAUGHT FIRE!, because of a little candle on the table, stupid of me, but maybe a coincidence, but it was funny it happened to "the fireman" cd-cover!

  • wow... um Saturday night I saw Paul live in Atlanta and this song was better live!!!! :D

  • Sir Paul still got it! He is the MAN!!!

  • like most the songs on this album....."what the hell is he saying?"

    and why "the fire man?"

    but its a good album

honestly tho, most u dudes on here make me sick!

  • There's nothing about this song I hate.

  • unadulterated McCartney, 100% rockin raw with it all hangin out, feedback and all! love it!!!

  • Nice! i love the prisoner! very cool, and of course mccartney's the man!

  • Nice, The Prisoner. Apparently, ITV were going to bring it back, but that doesn't look atall likely now.

  • lol LOVE this song, funny video. From the old show the prisoner right? I remember those white ball balloons that go after you if you try to escape heheh

  • Im starting to believe that paul mccartney its and illuminaty...

  • Running throught the nightime baby looking like a wreck, got too many highlights and a lovrbite on her neck...awesome!

  • Great great song!!!

  • he keeps his fire engine clean....

i think mccartney definately new he would do these albums, and put it in beatles music.

i think it was his way of telling people how great he was.

    the signs are there

  • Paul McCartney has written plenty of songs that are just as good or better than some Beatle songs!

Most artist would give both their arms to have the fantastic career McCartney has had since the Beatles!

Anyone who says his post Beatles material is mostly crap are just wrong and full of BS!!

  • llook at goerge harrison his stuff is cool

  • love horse to the water.

  • Could not agree more, in fact I prefer a lot of it.

  • Every musician would give both their arms as Macca's career is the most successful out the lot of them. Including, Lennon, Presley, Stones, Madonna,Jackson,Sinatra,Elton etc

  • @thumbsaloft When you are as big as the Beatles and so good, not to mention so culturally influential the "shots " are bound to come. Especially since the only beatles failure, as deemed by the critics anyway, was "Magical Mystery Tour". I like your comment and agree 100%. Paul has made such interesting and diverse music since the Beatles; love the Fireman stuff!

  • @jimidee33 Re:MMT: "The soundtrack was a critical and commercial success, a #1 album in the US and Grammy-nominated, despite the relative critical and commercial failure of the Magical Mystery Tour film."

  • @johntasha2 True that! I like the album a great deal though it is one of my least favorite Beatle's albums. I enjoy watching the film but it is amatuer-ish, however I appreciate that quality. It is like watching a home movie. Since I came of age in the sixtie's that is a good thing!

  • I'm not a number!

  • maybe that u2 sound beatles ???

  • YOU are number 2!

  • Cool video, I always like it when the video has a story and not only "look at my car, look at my house, i'm rich worship me."

Paul always seems to get that right.

  • That's from The Prisoner, a highly innovative Cold War paranoid psychedelia program from the 60s.

  • This album will be my Christmas present to myself...thanks Fireman Paul. Never put the music out...burn burn burn it all down and forever all around.

  • Sounds like U2.

  • Don't be too jealous you piece of shit

  • i think that hotel is the same room were they filmed help prety sure though this video is kinna like james bond llol.

  • Lovely...so glad Paul is still recording...need his music always.

  • woa this man is SORPRENDENTE.....

  • What do you want ?

    Who are you?

Whose side you are on ?

    Who is Number 1 ?

THE BEATLES and The Prisoner are really cult

  • BTW, nice Prisoner shot.

  • I just read a review that referred to this album as "McCartney III." Anyone agree?

  • 'McCartney III' - definitely,

although the same could be said for Chaos + Creation.

  • from what I have heard... yes! good review! :P

  • PLEASE, PAUL,

let me co-produce you ONCE. I love you but I you need someone to kick your ass to raise the bar.

You can do much better than this, but not surrounded by yes men!

  • Great album!

  • YEAH PAUL :D WHOO!! AGAIN never letting me down..how the HELL does he do it??

  • It's my favourite song on album.

  • You first bozo.

  • * critisism

  • Don't forget...Highway the new single HIT

  • Paul is number 1 and no questions asked it is not crap it fuckin' rocks!!!!

  • this is really good

  • Well , by solo I mean post Beatles.

  • This is one of the best Paul solo songs ever I reckon.

  • Basically, the problem with McCartney is that left to his own devices he overproduces everything and works on the song until there is no magic left. If you want muzak may I suggest you listen to some elevator/lift music. If you want music on a par with The Beatles listen to Ram/Band on the Run/Electric Arguments/Imagine/Plastic Ono Band/All things must pass.

  • Rubbish. You just haven't listened to any of the great stuff he's done, obviously. There is some wonderful underrated songs on Back To The Egg, Memory Almost Full, Run Devil Run, London Town, just to name a few. I do not love his solo career work (even at his best) as much as the beatles songs, sure, nor do I with Lennon, Harrison etc.

But he is a great tune man, he can write a great acoustic tune or a flashy rock number. I think we need to give him the credit he deserves, right people?

  • Hey don't take it personally. It's not a personal affront on your taste. It's my opinion. You may think he's done lots of great stuff since Band on the Run - I think he has done some great songs since - but by and large I stand by my comment that essentially what he's done since is crap. Electric Arguments is a wonderful return to form. Check out Two Magpies or Sun is shining and then compare that with the bulk of his output 1974 - 2007. Peace.

  • Well when people critisize paul in such a way, I take it personally, because the beatles are in my heart.

Weather it's good or not, atleast he's giving it a go, still at 66 years old.

  • Look, all creativity thrives on a certain level of constructive criticism and honesty, whether from oneself or others. The problem is that McCartney always works best with a partner because otherwise people are too afraid to be honest with him. Your love wouldn't actually help him.

  • salmon: you know nothing about love. and love is all you need, afterall. love is all paul needs. not critism from upstarts.

  • alright dizzy, have a nice day. i'm not getting into a stupid argument with someone I don't know on the internet. peace and love

  • Just chippin in: ALL artists need criticism.

  • And he sure gets alot of it.

  • Absolutely. i mean, it's a huge transition to write songs with a partner for so long and then shift into writing solo. it's tough but i think that they all did pretty well. not as fantastic as they were in the beatles, but still. i mean, when john had writers block, he would give it to paul to finish and visa versa. when you're solo you can't do that.

  • yes, exactly!

  • I am not a number!

  • What are you talking about? It's the fact that he has gone out on a limb that's made this album the best he's done since Ram. If he carried on with the crap stuff he's made since sure he'd be loved but nobody with any critical taste would enjoy it. Stop worshipping him and open up your ears! He may have actually prodcued some good stuff since Ram and maybe Band on the Run if people had actually taken the part of Lennon and been constructively critical. Evidently, only Youth has done that.

  • Salmon..: I think it's mainly you who needs to open up the ears - to say that everything he's done from Ram is crap is pure musical idiocy. Man, it's so easy to please ppl like you then - add some quirky arrangement, cool sounds, echoes..and you're happy - that's the great stuff, you'll dig it, right? Nice little repetitive tune with some funny sounds and video - best since Ram? I say, LISTEN TO THE COMPOSITIONS FIRST before you say anything about critical taste. Start with Golden Earth Girl.

  • Apologies - Band on the Run is pretty good too, and there have been odd good trakcs, but basically yes everything since has been crap. No I don't get pleased simply by your ideas of what I like, and it would appear that the critics of most music papers and papers would agree with me on this one - obviously we all like 'quirky arrangments, cool sounds and echoes' and don't appreciate 'compositions'. Get off your high horse!

  • Ah so you've read most music papers and critics' reviews since Ram, 1971, you must know then. How about Tug of War? Read some critics comments back in 1982? Sure you did, it's all crap I know. The Pound is Sinking, ever heard that one? Check it, should be on youtube.Crap, yes.. I mean, I'm no Macca worshipper and don't like lot of his tracks - songs like Dance tonight, Off the Ground..are crap compared to most of his other stuff. But to say all's crap only proves you don't know much about music.

  • Yeah - it'all crap.

  • Paul does it again. Great song. I have now heard the entire album and it is gem. One of the top releases of 2008.

  • Wow! That's so cool!

  • Great video.

The prisoner images fits brilliantly with Paul`s music.

    Paul`s the main man!

  • Paul you still rock my world! I love you!

  • This album's gonna kick ass! refreshed reinvention.

  • Of what I heard so far, it seem to be a great rock album. I like these simple rock song. Rock down the highway.

  • Amazing that he could produce rock n' roll that still rocks at his age.

  • I have to admit, I kinda like this song, it's not as weird as the rest.

I like McCartney's funky bassline in this one.

  • Weird is GOOD, especially when it comes to Macca!

  • Bassline is kind of Taxman-ish. Ed

  • YEAH GOOD EAR

  • Superb song and great video, Macca does it again!

    Macca is cool again....
