12 hyenas and 1 male lion and still they wont take him on........amazing

hyenas are afraid of male lion, even if an entire clan, but young males of the species or a male who is injured may face when the hyenas are in a number of about 5 or 8 to 1. With the lionesses is about 3 or 5 to 1.
