Steve Vai and John Petrucci are equally excellent guitarists, while John Petrucci writes excellent melodys Steve Vai uses new techniques and less contempary musical inspiration in his songs. I am in no way saying that one is better than the other, I am merely pointing out that it is wrong to say that one is a genius and the other just does gay tapping. However I do think that you need to grow up and stop judging guitarists by what they look like on stage
