It was melancholy seeing Betty Boop, because it was a constant reminder how society updates and leaves icons behind if they can't keep up. If you were to shoot this movie today, you could almost do this scene with a CGI beauty strutting her stuff on stage and Jessica as the has-been waitress. I miss cel animation.
