The BIG difference was she got bit by a puff adder and Flower got bit by a cape cobra. I believe it is a lot more venomous.

And now Zaphod is gone too. He passed March 4, 2011. RIP ol' buddy. You did well.

According to the Friends of the Kalahari website.

On February 12th, 2011, Zaphod was 4448 days old and set the record for the manor. He was born Dec. 9, 1998.

i saw the ep with her getting bitten by a snake just like Flower and i thought she'd go the same fate but she survived and i cried so much

but did she die for real?

@lotten16 yes, rocket dog did survive her snake bite, but in April 2008, she was crossing the Main Road and was hit by a researchers car. :,(

WOW, that was amazing - it brought tears to my eyes. After Mozart passed away, Rocket Dog warmed her way into my heart to help fill the void. I miss them both so much! Again, AWESOME job!!! 5 stars and favorite!

Well, Animal Planet announced that on the morning of April 28, 2008 Rocket Dog was crossing the Main Road, where farmers and researchers drive to get to work and RD was hit by one of the farmers. And Animal Planet plans to give RD a tribute soon.
