@kuroiyuki2 They have done playback lots of times during the years in tv-performances and that's because most of the tv-studios aren't capable of the production of a live-performance because of both economic reasons and lack of resources to manage it. It has nothing to do with Bills illness in 2008, or the producers.
I can only think of one tv-channel/show right now where they have played live, wich is on TV-Totaal.

You can't just put a band on a stage and tell them to sing. You have to pick up the sound in a right way, to make it sound good and you have to have soundcheck and stuff like that. It can take more than a day to prepare a live-performance and it's just not time for it.

Noooo. Bill no lip sync. He just had his surgury. Duuhh he had to lip sync. I saw TRL, he just had his surgury and he had to sing "Ready, Set, Go!", he sang it sooo bad. His voice kept craking when he got to the courus. After the show his throught was in pain and he had to go to vocal rehab. Ever since then, he had to lip sync untill he recoverd so that he wont sprain his throught again. I mean think about it.

to Hefernut: Tokio Hotel is one of the greatest bands in the history of great bands. anybody with good taste in music at least likes one of their songs.nobody has said that their rock!their emo/punk/pop.and Bill probably had to lip sing because he had surgery in his vocal cords and he must have been recovoring but did the show anyways cuz he didnt want to disappoint his fans.ive been to one of their concerts and they are amazing live so dont critize something u dont know the full story of!

It is not that he is lip syncing, it is a lag in the video. Also wasn't that around the time that he needed to get the surgery.
