  • what type of cichlids are these??

  • these are acei ,,, one of the few chiclids that can go heavy heavy salt ,, almost completely salt cool aye ?

  • @lesterclaypool1

so they can be kept with other saltwater fishes? and where do u get them?

  • @n4v3al yes they can but in comparison to salt fish they must be taken over slowly and kept at light gravitys try 10 :20 and down ,,, i would try them at brackish first and let the gravity rise slowly ,,, keep them with scats and monos ect ect

  • what lighting do u run???? looks great

  • Acei are Mbuna Cichlids...not Peacocks.

  • omfg that tank is beautiful dude

  • anyone know how to tel the males form the females?

  • Venting them is the only sure fire way but usually females have a more solid yellow dorsal fin, males have more blue.

  • there should be little yellow spots or a single spot on the anal fin

  • egg spots isn't always a good way to sex mbuna's their color isn't always a sign aswell as they can colour up and down, the only 100% way is to vent them

  • are Acei a form of peacock cichlid?

  • What is the scientific name for these cichlids

  • Pseudotropheus Acei

  • very well

  • Fantastic - that male is such a showoff!

  • awsome aquarium. I always wanted to put sand in my cichlid aquarium just like yours instead of gravel but have no clue how difficult it is to clean it. Can you still use vacume to clean the sand?

  • It is actually much easier to syphon as as the **** just sits on the surface waiting to be hoovered up!

  • no, you dont have to vacuum sand. but you do have to worry about sand screwing up small filters.

  • Try giving them some drift woods too, they love it :)

  • what size tank do u have them in and how many u got in there..sweet fish lol =]

  • They are in a 4ft, 221 litre tank.

  • wat kind of fish are those?..freshys or saltys?

  • These fish are freshwater cichlids from Lake Malawi in Africa.

  • Gorgeous fish mate and great clarity of video :)
