  • Can you tell me if VBA ia the way to make an excel spreadsheet into an application? I have a spreadsheet that I would like to be able to license, but obviously, it needs to be heavily protected and dummy-proofed. Any tips on how to get from a great spreadsheet on my machine to one that can be sold would be super helpful.

    Cheers.

  • Great video. Thank you, very much.

  • @VBA4Excel

OK I understood the video but what I want to do is create a conditional macro for the following situation:

    > Cell A1 is just an input cell where you input random integers and it is also a base cell.

    > I want the macro to draw a grid of the order input in cell A1

    > eg. if cell A1 is '3' then make a 3x3 grid, if Cell A1 is '5' make a 5x5 grid .

    please help

  • I can hardly understand what was being mumbled...

  • This is what comes up...when i type in ur website address!! "The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log."

  • dude ur website isn't opening...what should i do? it is showing some type of error..am using google crome!

  • Excel 2010 haven't got a developer tab. Also, it is not in the options either. help?

  • @GameMaster337 you have to check the developer box to the right under "Customize Ribbon". If you google excel 2010 developer the first hit is a quick walkthrough with screenshots

  • thanks for posting!!

  • Thanks so much this is very helpful! :-)

  • when i click on C3 and run the macro, number 1 actually appears on C3 and the rest 2-10 pop up in A2 to A10. can you please tell what i did wrong here? thanks

  • @hykugan This is because it is putting the first number in the activecell rather than cell A1. To get around this click in a different cell to A1 and then back into A1 before entering the numbers. This will ensure that the first number does not go into the activecell but into cell A1.

  • Short and very easy to understand. Thanks!

  • awesome!
