Just want to let you know that you have made what i always thought would be too difficult relatively easy to learn and to sound like the original. I love this song. thank you!
Mark. I am really making progress with this. I am having difficulty with the part where you walk the bass from G to EM to A. If you could just describe it again, I would appreciate it. thanks.
Mark. GReat lesson. I am also stuck on the A walk up. Are you maintaining the A shape when you move down the neck? If not can you tell me the chord makeup. thanks.
Firstly, thank you for a great lesson. My wife loves this song and I'd love to be able to play it. I am getting there slowly with the aid of your lesson. However I'm stuck. at 3.53 after the A you say walk up. What two chords do you play then before the Dm?
Wow Mark your amazing, I lost my Dad 11 years ago and he played like you do, I sure miss it, so when I need to be close to him I listen to you, You bring a warmth to my heart Thank you
Shortly after we got married in 1971, my wife and I first heard this song in a movie called "Mr. & Mrs. Bojo Jones." An otherwise forgettable movie, it centered on a young couple and "their song" was "Time In A Bottle". Always one of our favorites, many thanks, Mark, for presenting an arrangement I can play! It brings back pleasant memories!
wow, you hit my most favorite song which i sing since i was 8 up to the present , always listening to your good voice - your friend, andy philippines,
I never tried to learn it because I thought it was too hard. You have explained it in a way I can learn it ! I'm excited and looking forward to learning this song - thanks so much !
Hi Larry, yep this is a little easier version than the original, but sounds good and is easy to play. This guitar is a Dean rosewood model, one of my favorites, great sound and looks. Have fun with that one!
Please don't sing anymore.
It sounds completely awful, and you shouldn't be singing anyway - it's a guitar lesson. I couldn't hear the guitar over your shitty singing.

You are playing the second string one fret higher as you go up and down. Watch again at 6:15.
