  • Please don't sing anymore.

It sounds completely awful, and you shouldn't be singing anyway - it's a guitar lesson. I couldn't hear the guitar over your shitty singing.

  • @BucketTard oh shut da fuck up

  • @BucketTard Get over it.

  • I was surprised how easily I learned this one: thanks for the clear instructions, Mark! Still another great song that you helped me learn.

  • this is a stupid guitar lesson

  • Stick with the guitar and ditch the singing friend

  • Hey Mark,

  • Great job

  • Thanks for taking the time to make this video. It's at a great pace for those trying to learn while you're playing. It helped me quite a bit.

  • thanks Mark you made my day!

  • real pro!

  • Just want to let you know that you have made what i always thought would be too difficult relatively easy to learn and to sound like the original. I love this song. thank you!

  • Mark. I am really making progress with this. I am having difficulty with the part where you walk the bass from G to EM to A. If you could just describe it again, I would appreciate it. thanks.

  • A little bit of Neil Young in there as well.

  • Great job. Kinda sound like Willie Nelson.

  • Mark. GReat lesson. I am also stuck on the A walk up. Are you maintaining the A shape when you move down the neck? If not can you tell me the chord makeup. thanks.

  • You are playing the second string one fret higher as you go up and down. Watch again at 6:15.

  • Firstly, thank you for a great lesson. My wife loves this song and I'd love to be able to play it. I am getting there slowly with the aid of your lesson. However I'm stuck. at 3.53 after the A you say walk up. What two chords do you play then before the Dm?

I think the root notes are B and csharp?

Help please, I can't get it to sound right.

    Thanks Bob

BTW cracked leaving on a Jet plane thanks to you

  • whoops, now ive watched the whole lesson.!!! Thanks again

    Ben

  • Hi Ben, thanks, this one is my Dean rosewood, I like the sound of it, and it has a nice fishman too.

  • Shortly after we got married in 1971, my wife and I first heard this song in a movie called "Mr. & Mrs. Bojo Jones." An otherwise forgettable movie, it centered on a young couple and "their song" was "Time In A Bottle". Always one of our favorites, many thanks, Mark, for presenting an arrangement I can play! It brings back pleasant memories!

    Shug (Doug)

  • Nice story shug! I am sure you and your wife can enjoy this easy version. Have fun with that one.
