ei bro! :) i don't wanna sound discouraging, but i think there's something wrong with your chords..try to listen more to it..i agree with 'antonbassaf'..and that you really have to work on with the timing and groove as well, 'cause the groove that you're doing doesn't fit to the dynamics of the song. however, keep it up. practice makes perfect. Hmm just get the piano to play at the start instead of the bass and play notes as you normally would on the bass throughout the song, it wont sound as good but it'll still work. Other than that all you can do is practice.

YOu play it really good eventhough you use 2 fingers for theneck and only one for the strings! Practice try to use all your five fingers from the left hand and four fingers from the right hand so if you get tired if the song is to fast you can use other fingers so the main one can rest

Hmm I play this song sort of a different way,

I thought it sounded good, instead of starting on G#, i go from F# to C# on the A string , then I do what you do with E on D String, to G# on G back to E.

James Jamerson had one of the best basslines ever created, and he plucked the strings with one finger only. I believe, there are no rights and wrongs in bass playing, its how the bass player produce the sound.

I'm also a bassist in a Christian church. keep it up. you're doing great. it doesn't matter how many fingers you use to fret down the notes or to pluck the strings. The great Motown bassist James Jamerson used only the index finger to pluck his Fender P-bass but he nailed down the groove right. The important thing is you are comfortable with you're playing style. God Bless you.

word of advice(and i have said this before): try moving your fingers instead of moving the whole hand. it's a bad habit to get into, and using your fingers will give you better playability and it will fill in the gaps between the notes
