  • forgot about Lenny The Lion until yesterday driving down a road about 5 minutes from where i live (Oldham) stopped at traffic lights and looked across to see one of those blue plaques that commemorate famous people born in the area, It was for Terry Hall.

but somethings bugging me, apart from this where would i have seen Lenny on tv in the early 80'? i know i instantly recognised that flippin lion (as i said the plaque reminded me of 'him') but cant think whether they had a show on tv?

  • @xneverwalkalonex Terry and Lenny presented an ITV schools programme in the late '70s and early '80s teaching kids to read. It was called Reading With Lenny and it ran until about 1983 I think.
