1976. No pubs open on Sundays in Edinburgh. Had to go to a hotel or a private club for a drink with my pals. Two young sisters performed this beautiful song every Sunday afternoon as part of their set in a hotel on Mayfield Road. Just one of those songs that capture a place and a time.....running cross-country races all over the east of Scotland, brilliant nightlife down the Grassmarket, great friendships......left Scotland in 1982, but will never forget it.
