@MetalGearRexPilot You can actually move the right analog stick to move it out of 3rd person perspective and give you a free camera to rotate and watch the entire process. Truly gives you an appreciation watching the animation of it being brought out of the vector traps.

When I figured that out, like AntithesisRebirth I would hit L3 to make Dingo say something cool while I controlled the camera since I already knew whatever was infront of me was about to get vaporized.

@MetalGearRexPilot It is definitely a rarity of good games for the PS2, I even remember it was on a list for hard to find PS2 Games, which only adds to how great it is. Don't worry about the story line or anything because they give you an option to learn what happened but TRY AND BUY THIS AWESOME GAME THAT MAKES BABIES.

@MetalGearRexPilot All that and more imo. It's the kind of game I still pick up and play every now and then even though I've beaten it up to the hardest mode a few times. The story is exceptionally well done, the combat is beautiful though it does take getting lvl'd up and attaining other weapon drivers to keep from seeming repetative off the start.

In a nutshell an awesome game though, the level where you take on the Bahram Air Fleet is just utterly epic and the music truly gets you going.

@azzimaz Haha same, likewise I have seperate saves for the Bahram Air Fleet, the level where you have to save Ken after Viola has been purged from Ardjet, and the battle of Damaged Jehuty vs Anubis across the Urenbeq(sp) Catapult since that one essentially leads right into the end fight of Naked Jehuty vs Final Anubis hehe.

Every now and then I'll toss it back in and think "Hmm, which epic battle do I feel like running again".

@Maleksrphn The only other one I played was The Fist of Mars, so I remember the name BAHRAM. If I remember right, they are a military company involved with earthen weapons.  If I'm wrong, I still have the game with all it's terminology. Testament kicked so much ass, I wonder, does this games main mech live up to testament's awesomeness?

@MetalGearRexPilot Yeah you're correct. When it comes to terms of power, (IMO) Jehuty and Anubis were the strongest OF's in the series.

Jehuty and Anubis having refined metatron ore / advanced tech, and the ability to use the Zero Shift system to it's full ability. Pretty hard to counterattack when aside from the massive array of weapons they had (Jehuty ends up utilizing a variation or the true version of almost every weapon in the series) they can simply teleport any distance to dodge.

@Maleksrphn Testament and Pharsti will always have a place in my heart with her massive sword right arm and left hand that generates extremely powerful EMP waves and blue laser beams of annihilation. *sigh*. Since we are talking about weapon technologies in this game, the tech sounds more advanced than Fist of Mars, but does this game talk about mindflow system, cuz if not, then that would mean that the program was scrapped, after it's extreme success in OF's.

@MetalGearRexPilot From what I understand they scrapped it in favor of the combat battle A.I.'s as Idolo was missing that tech as well. The A.I.'s provided mass amounts of information during combat that the pilot could not normally evaluate, as well as having other 'black boxes' hidden within their core programming that allowed for things discovered in the story that I wont spoil, toss me a mail if ya want me hehe. ADA (Jehuty's A.I.) was essentially a smart talking version of the ZERO system.

@Maleksrphn That, and the mindflow system usually killed runners who could not sustain a stable connection with the frame. Kind of like an double or nothing bet. I just got done playing through the game and beating it. Not bad. Jehuty was pretty cool I guess. Although, like I said, Testament will still be coolest to me.

I will say though (especially since you've played through the 2nd Runner now correct?) that the mindflow system wouldn't have effected Dingo at all considering his literal connection to Jehuty. It's pretty evident from the CS's as well just how integrated they are, which I loved.  Personally I favored Jehuty just due to the fact of assimilation abilities as well as having a near limitless potential in the end. It all came down to the runner.

@Maleksrphn True, Jehuty essentially was indestructible (in the end, he was rebuilding himself completely in a matter of minutes.)... But he can't fire EM waves out of his hand!.... That, and this game is way later than the Fist of Mars game for GBA.

Personally back in the day when my friends and I would play the VS mode I would destroy with Nephtis simply because of her sheer speed and the way her attacks worked.

There's a chance they will as Hideo Kojima acknowledges that we want ZOE 3, well, probably only for PlayStation consoles though, because something about the. . . whatever it is, and there's a chance that Gradius will be involved with the game in some way. And, you know, the levels in ZOE 1, and/or at least ZOE 2 are reminiscent of the stages in Gradius III.

@milfermon21 to put it bluntly, yes. this is one of the rare good mech games, to be honest this is the game i compare all other mech games to. tight controls, blazing fast combat (especially after getting the 0 shift upgrade) and boss fights that do make you use all your abilities. highly recommended.

Well here it goes, young padawan. Remember at the start of the fight there are stone columns moving up and down all over the place? Just stand on top of one of those and activate the cannon. He's out. Then he goes into stage 2 which does take place in high sky so you have to fight him normally. Good luck.

Yea, the inhert fight. See those stone pillars moving up and down? Get on one of the bottom ones and activate the Vector Cannon. One shot kill. of course after that he transports you into a dead space where you have to fight regularly.
