This man may have the blues, but he is seriously lacking in rhythm and musical talent...sorry to say. There are many old bluesmen who had a unique sense of timing, and played around with the tune a lot, like Furry Lewis, Gary Davis and Robert Johnson, but they always leave you feeling like it is all part of the plan. This guy just sounds like he can't hear the guitar!
like taj mahal said himself: any black man with a mule could sing and/or play. you got to be careful with digging up 'legend' after 'legend'. in fact, I believe the 'career' of t model ford to be a con about this pseudo-authentic practise.
@rottenhubert WELL ACTUALLY THAT IS MY GREAT GRANDFATHER AND HE IS ALL OF WHAT WE CALL A LEGEND... HE WAS THE LAST ONE STANDING AND I HAVE ONE OF DELTA BLUES RECORDS SORRY THAT IN HIS DAY MISSISSIPPI DIDN'T HAVE WHAT WE HAVE NOW BUT TO ME MY GRANDFATHER WAS THE BEST OUT THERE RIP HORACE STEWARD SEE YOU IN THE AFTER LIFE...
@rottenhubert WELL THIS IS HIS GREAT GRAND DAUGHTER AND HE IS A LEGEND IN OUR EYES REGARLESS IF YOU HERD OF HIM OR NOT... BUT THNKS FOR YOUR CONCERN EVEN THOU IT WASN'T NEEDED...

This comes to show that being black in America has never been enough to make you a bluesman... Talent is also required!
Probably why Rottenhubert (and myself after 30 years of blues studying) have never heard of this "legend"... :)

He's not singing with the guitar it seems. His rhythm is all off.

What makes Horace Stewart a legend? I've been studying (and playing) early blues forms for fifteen years and I've never heard of him.
