because those familiar with Hellraiser know that Xipe Totec is also another name for Pinhead, who happens to have his face all over the top of the pandoric.
@artist064 Yeah, I never got that. I mean, I get the associations between Pinhead and flaying, but beyond that he doesn't really have much in common with the Aztec flayed god.
And that's nowhere as bad as what they did with the Chatterer. Yeah, like I'm expected to believe a German child that lived over a century ago was named "Mictlantecuhtli," ie the flatulent Mexican death god.
@dragoncaretaker94 Tibetan throat chanting and a music box version of a classic that escapes me at the moment.
By the way, does anyone have any music box tunes or harpsichord music they can send me for some of the animations? My resources are stretched and I don't want to keep adding the same tunes.
hhhmmmm....well, it's a puzzle. a complicated box of wood and metal that reconfigures impossibly but when guided by desire can open a gateway to hell. Outwardly it looks like a box but inwardly it is a complex scientific replacement of alchemy, arcane lore and black magic.
Now it is also...homework. This is how I learn how to use several art programs AND be useful to the followers of the Pandorics. Repetition is the best teacher so everyone gets something while I get faster and more creative.
Nice! I tried to find the history on the pyramid gallery but there was none. I'm glad that the animation had been put up at least. Xipe Totec I think is one of my favorite cenobites.
But after reading some of the other histories. I cant help but wonder about the other kinds. Like Seraphites. hmmm
Yeah, I'm saying just that. I've worked them in CAD, figured how and where the mechanisms fit and most of them are doable. Some only work if we use a different form of physics that allows solid matter to be worked like clay. But that's the principle. The models need to be able to flow or interlock.
so you would know how to make that spinning thing at 0:39 go up with the box in movements like at 1:24? that spinning thing would come apart with the box?
Frame 1:05 is the key...think of it like this, take a circle and fold it over a few times. Makes a wedge shape. All parts move inside the box and fit nicely into proper places. To get most of the box movements re quires a wormgear, a tension spring, about 26 small gears a few elastic bands...The point is not to dismiss something just because you can't figure out how it works but applying your imagination to make it a reality.
Once again, they are doable. I've made models and done research.
actually its not all that complicated. The real art here is that it LOOKS complex and doesn't seem possible.
The three gears that fit inside the box collapse and lay flat. The illusion is they take up more space then possible. The art of these boxes are they act bigger on the inside but I assure you I'm only animating what would be doable.
In time, if I ever find space to work I will attempt photo etching of my research. If it is successfull, the Pyramid Gallery will be the first to know.
Again, you'd think so and you'd probably be right but within the hellraiser mythos, the boxes are already doing things that go beyond what we accept as physical laws. Be open minded, the boxes are outwardly solid but are also gateways so once they're opened they begin to act on a level closer to quantum physics. In other words anything and everything is possible once you start to unlock the box.
so, in a sense, its like the Iron Man armor, everything interlocks to the point where it doesnt look like it has interlocks. along with the comics where Stark made his Iron suit "collapsable" like cloth. not related to Hellraiser or any other puzzle boxes but you know what i mean.

I may have asked this already on a different video, but which one do I start with?

I can't help but wonder why something called "Xipe Totec's Protege" has no Aztec or similar Mesoamerican art motifs on it.

@artist064 I did some research
The music box music is "Seduction & Pursuit"
Try this "WoW Soundtrack- Karazhan Organ " NO I DO NOT PLAY WOW SO STFU

Strange. One would think that something bearing the name of Xipe Totec would have more symbols that are recognizably Aztec...

it doesnt seem like these boxes would be possible to make exactly like in these videos.they are really cool though.

they are, I model them in cad to make sure they're doable...they may seem complex but they're possible.

You mean theoretically one can go and actually build one of these boxes given the tools and technology? Sweet! :D

im not saying i dont believe it,i was just asking if you would of known how to do that certain thing.
that would be awesome if you made real ones like this. about how much would you sell them for?

How 'bout the final stage of Prometheus Trap and Mason's Keystone? Those seem to require solid objects passing through one another.
