Yeah the traffic is lexington is so bad now. The city is about to a major reconstruction project to Make the roads better. including changing alot of Roads in Lexington into a One ways.
@growingup15 I have read about that in the news a few months ago. They are going to route the U.S. 1 southbound traffic onto W. Butler St., which will be achieved by a new connector road. I was thinking that would only stay a vision, considering financial issues, but Lexington really needs something like that. I was really hoping for a local freeway though, a personal vision called Interstate 920. It would go from I-20 about 1 mile west of the U.S. 378 exit to U.S. 378 near Wise Ferry Rd.
@growingup15 To continue on that. Another vision I made was a redesigning of malfunction junction, which would involve a new connector freeway running along the Saluda River (from I-20 to I-126, with an I-26 interchange for traffic heading to and from West Columbia only) which would divert Lexington and West Columbia traffic away from the main core of the interchange. Then the main interchange itself would be configured with special flyovers to remove weaving and bottle-necking problems.
@escalatorgeek881 OH HELL YEAH! i know that also. i am going to a meeting soon in downtown i having meetings with the mayor and the City d stuff im working on a Idea for the city to Bring a New interstate Connector and a Toll Booth on I-126 Near the Bridge both ways. the money will fund the Buses and to fix the roads in Columbia. its a Idea but i hope the city looks into it. here's my Flickr page with all my ideas
Cool video. I live in Lexington.I love it. I have lived here all of my life. And the St. David's Lutheran church you mention near the end- I go to that church. It is so cool to see familiar places on a youtube video.
Just a bit of advice: If you're making a video, it's best not to chew gum. It was irritating to listen to.
Other than that, nice little town. Leominster is a total pain in the ASCII to get through, especially during rish hour (4 to 7PM). Cars always stacked outide the window.
People do that here, too. They skip downtown by driving on my street, which when people park on one side of it, there's not enough room for 2 cars to get by. Oh, the FUN!
@georgef551 You are right. This kid would get a smack to his mouth if he were my son. No one has manners anymore in America. Chew with your mouth closed!!!!1
That's because most of the parents are too fat and lazy, and cannot stop watching Oprah (the y eill soon), to parent their kids. They all run around like derelicts nowadays.
@georgef551 My parents are not that way. Mine demonstrate a perfect balance between strict and lax. Also, my parents work in the house every day, and sometimes expect me to do my chores. I also have to earn for my elevator trips.
That loud gum chewing habit that I had in 2009 is technically gone now.

Lexington is so bad that you would want to turn off and take a back route.
