  • What kind of screen recording software do you use? I've been looking around, I tried Fraps (horrible), Hypercam (okay), and I also tried Jing (meh).

  • @ZarosLoyal

If you want a decent Screen Recorder then you will have to pay for it.

If you're capturing game play then you really need a decent capture card or PVR.

For doing stuff like I do to make my Tutorials, I recommend "My Screen Recorder" by Deskshare. I made a video about this. Type "screen recorder" into the search box on my channel.

  • wow, i'm learning from this

  • @phukemonster

    Great :)

  • thanks for this tutorial, i can't wait to see the rest of your videos!

  • @wildhover

    :)

  • hi i just wanted to say, this video really helped me out alot so thank you so much for making it

  • @PeaceSellsSH

Glad to be of assistance :)

  • Thanks, Exactly what i needed to know. Other videos made it more complicated than it actually was. Took me 30 secs after watching your one. :-)

  • @cydonias1

    Glad to help :)

  • how in the world would i make it to where people can click on the picture in picture and go to a previous video of mine?

  • @lit26

I will be making a Video about this very soon.

You do this using the screen annotations tool in YT, but it is a bit tricky to learn for the first time and needs a lot of explaining.

A Video Tutorial is the best way to show.

  • @TemporalParadox1 Great thank you so much :)

  • @TemporalParadox1 Ohh you know what!! Never mind I know exactly how to do it on youtube. Jsut tohught I could do it during editing with vegas :)

  • @lit26

No Video Editing software of Earth can let you do something like you are describing - doesn't exist.

  • @TemporalParadox1 Oh thank you sooo much for relieving my mental craze. I spent 24 hours trying to figure out how to do that lol but I now see how people do it through YT. Thanks again

  • @lit26 invisible annotatoins

  • Thank you:) I just did my first Video in Video using Sony Vegas Movie Studio and with out your help I never would have done it:) Thanks again!

  • @gansta8894821

    Your welcome :)

  • Your videos are so helpful. I just started using Vegas and didn't know where to start. You reduced my learning curve, and I just finished my first project. Thanks!

  • @digitalbreakthroughs

    Glad I could help :)

  • Is it possible to angle the videos? I know for Screenflow you are able to.

  • @str8jacket

Yes you can angle or spin videos in both the Track Motion OR Event Pan/Crop Tools.

  • How do you make that "Temporal Pradox 1" in the right down corner? Can i have my channel logo in a corner just like the TV channels have?

  • @NiceVidsify

I have made a basic tutorial for this topic already.

Type "watermark" into the Search Box on my channel.

  • Thank you so much, it feels as if I've mastered the art of Vegas:)

  • @badpresence

    Nicely said :) :) :)

  • So much thanks!

  • @Xerr0X

    :)

  • is their a way to do video in video?i saw it done with sony vegas pro 10 i was wondering if you could do it with this software.

  • @ErnC05

"Picture in Picture" IS "Video in Video"

    There is no difference.

  • Man this was so helpful

if only you could speak up a bit

I had to turn my headphones up but otherwise this will

    help greatly for my projects

  • @TheOrigamiGamer16

If you can't hear me, it's because of another problem.

I record all my tutorials at broadcast level standards.

Some web browsers don't play back the audio track at the correct sound level - the difference can be dramatic.

Other times it is actually a YT problem - I have experienced this myself and found there was nothing wrong with my original audio.

  • @TemporalParadox1 I hear you just fine now =)

I just had to tinker with some settings on my headphones

and your voice came out crystal clear

  • @TheOrigamiGamer16

    Cool :)

  • Dex, I wish I had seen this one before I did my last project. I used pan/crop to put what were powerpoint slides on one side of the screen and the singer on the other. It worked but this looked easier and you have the added option of 2D effect

  • @dwcobb43

It took me a while before I worked out the differences between Event Pan/Crop and the Track Motion Tool.

  • Does this also work with jpeg file pictures? Cause im about to do a vlog with having several of the same pictures in one video 10 minute clip

  • @TheRyong20

Why don't you try instead of asking and then you will find out.

  • Okay, Thanks! [:

  • How to do a overlay effect? (screen)

  • @xmollyyy

To overlay video, you put one video on the Video Track and another one on the Video Overlay Track.

Then you lower the opacity - make it see through by holding down the mouse pointer on the top edge of the video in the timeline and then dragging down the blue line.

  • Question: What kind of computer do you use to edit your video?? Because for some reason when I burn my DVDs you can see the written lines and when I play it it spots (it chokes) I can’t solve this problem please help me. and i tryed it on a new computer too still no change

  • Very helpful explained very clearly exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks a lot :)

  • @MrShadyCash

    Your welcome :)

  • Can you do this with a video?

  • @PlaystationPlusHD

Picture in Picture means the same as Video in Video.

So yes, you can do this with video - that is what I meant.

  • @TemporalParadox1

Okay, thank you sooooo much! Your videos really help me and the community out.

  • He's kewl

  • Question: I went to add PIP but it seems that when I get to a certain part in the video frame where I am placing it, it seem to begin to disappear

  • @ThreeCatsScratching

Use the "wheel" on your mouse to zoom in or out in the Track Motion window - if I am understanding you correctly.

  • @ThreeCatsScratching when I go to place it in the video frame it looks like it is trying to hide behind something

  • Interesting to see different ways to do things. I never tried the Track Motion till I saw you do it. I have been using the pan & crop in the clip to reduce the size and place the it. Only advantage would be to do different clips on the same track in different areas without creating a new video track. Thanks!

  • @bumblesby

I have a philosophy which I apply to almost everything:

There is no right or wrong way to do anything, simply different pathways to reach the same destination.

I am continually surprised myself and learn a lot, watching how people find solutions with Vegas - it really is a very powerful tool.

    Peace :)

  • Good tutorial :P

  • @LittleManWannaBee11

    Cheers :)
