  • This is me and my friend's favorite song.. we always sing it! lol But i love this scene because the song is touching and emotional and the scene itself is sooo haunting once you think about it.;) love this movie.

  • OMG, I always want to cry every time i hear this song. It's so very touching. Especially when i remember about the story behind it. Anastasia... The girl who lived <3

  • This was my favorite movie when I was little, I watched it every chance I got. Especially when I was sick. It made me happy. <3

  • Thank you for this video! Everytime I watch it, it reminds me of my father. I miss him a lot...

  • I think their ghosts but she thinks she is just imagining them.

  • can someone tell me what the name of the song is that comes at the ending of the movie, when the titles come>? <3

  • @osnapitzshani "at the beginning"

  • @celtticnesses oh yes!! thank you so much <3

  • this is not the song

    this is the reprise :(

  • I loved this movie when I was younger!

  • this scene makes this movie, and my childhood. dont think any little girl can watch this movie without falling in love with at least this part. thank you for putting it out there!!! its annoying trying to find a song thats been burned into your skull when people try to sing it, good or not. here ends my rant :)

  • Thank you for uploading the original <3

  • im always confuse by how her hair goes from short to long in the move.. was she waring it in a bun or something?

  • @dmosiman111 I think that in this moment, her hair is long because that's how it would be if she had grown up as a Romanov, her hair wouldn't have been cut. But the other times, i've no idea

  • @dmosiman111 I think that she was wearing it up in some sort of knot; if you look when she turns her head in the beginning, it's gathered up on top of her head.

  • What type of dress is she wearing when she dances? It's very beautiful. Can some please tell me.

  • @inchworm1023 im gonna guess a yellow sleeveless ballgown with glitter on the bodice and skirt, with white tinted chiffon sleeves with an aqua colored belt around the waist, to be exact

  • @celtticnesses Thank You.And you think that dress can be made?

  • @inchworm1023 it might be expensive but yea it could.

  • @celtticnesses Eh, just use cheaper materials. I'm sure if you look at a fabric store there's something to substitute.

  • @inchworm1023 you could probably buy the dress or something similar at Windsor's or JCP and then add your own accessories

  • My eyes start to get watery when her three sisters start to dance around her. A fun filled sisterly that they'll never have :'(

  • This part of the movie always make me cry ; o ; Especially when she dances with her Dad

  • I always thought that those 3 girls were reflections or something of her but know i get its her 3 elder sisters Q~Q

  • After going to college and majoring in History I can never look at this movie the same way again. Russia was effed up before and after the fall of the Tsars

  • well, it's not a disney movie folks :)

  • disney made the story of anastasia look so nice...

truth is..the whole family got killed...shot ..because a bunch a men were unhappy...and wanted their gold.

  • @ChenRuiQi93 Twentieth Century Fox you mean. Anastasia wasn't made by Disney. A shame, but true.

  • 0:46 The best part of the song! :)

  • i remember that this song scared me when i was little...

  • I feel so bad for her! I mean she lost her family, she couldn't remember anything, and worst of it all, she was real! And she didn't even get a happy ending on her real life!

    Love the song btw

  • As much as i LOVE this movie it drives me BONKERS when people think shes a disney princess....SHES NOT DISNEY ARG

  • @pitalover25 No, she's a twenty century fox princess

  • @frunita ....i know....i was just saying i hate it when people think other wise

  • Awe! I love her dress, and is it weird that I used to dance around the house pretending to wear the dress when this scene came on? Lol I love this song so much..

  • @Bellacullen6621 lol i used to do that too.. >< so id say no, but then again we could both just be weird lol

  • @notquiteaprincess lol, true :p

  • I always wondered if those people are her imagenation or if they are ghosts.

  • jeez, i'd forgotten how staggeringly beautiful this scene was

  • It's weird to hear this song in english when you only heard it in french...I like the lyrics too, but I kind of prefere the french version C=

  • Love this movie !!!

  • AMAZING MOVIE

  • Amazing!

  • goose bumps! amazing:)

  • @curvygirl811

oh please, i cried when pooka, anastasia's dog, was kicked out

  • So why were they murdered?

  • this song was literally my entire childhood.. i still have a cereal box toy that was anastasia themed... in was the music box thingy and it was in a cocoa pops box, i keep it in pride of place on my shelf. always.

  • when i was a child..some scenes of this film.. scared me!

  • My name is Anastasia. I came to this country from my open heart from NY in 1997 when this movie came out. This movie means so much to me.

  • It makes me sad, because at one point, you can see her father, her sisters Olga, Tatiana, and Maria, and their little brother, Aleksei. I wish they hadn't ended the way they did... I almost refuse to believe it... but i can't help but accept it.

  • omg i love this song! this was one of my favorite movies growing up

  • yes, it's not historically accurate, it's totally fiction. so what? it's an awesome movie.

  • Such an awesome song. i get to sing this as a solo in chior yayyy

  • @Acrodents aww i bet you will b amazing

  • Beautiful ((:

  • yes it is historically wrong. but they weren't trying to make the movie like exactly what happened. basically so the story can be longer and more interesting...

  • well if it wasnt her body she was still murdered because they found all the body's of the grand duchesses and the dog is cute

  • Also I love how they include Anastasia's dog Jemmy! For you who don't know he was also murdered with the family.

  • It wasn't even her body that was burned it was her older sister maria's. Even though very historically wrong I still love it. But, I would have loved to see her sisters and brother more, yes I understand the movie is called Anastasia but they were a big part in her life.

  • the sad part is after the movie is made they find the body's of Alexei Anastasia's little brother and her body they were burned a little distant away from where their parents and older sisters were buried the guy who did tht to them i hope burns in hell

  • It all seems like a dream because (I think) she had a minor head concussion and then she only slightly recalled memories as she went about the castle finding all of the things from her childhood.

  • Beautiful song!

  • Everytime i hear this song i always think of the real Anastasia and it makes me so sad and my eyes get all watery, this is my favourite song of all time, it just makes me think of how lucky i am <3

  • Anastasia was one of my favorite movies when i was little I liked to imagine I was her and then I looked her up and found out we were born on the same day

  • anastasia used to be my favorite movie when i was little and this song's melody was one of the reasons that i loved it so much!!!!

  • liz and lea have the best voices :)

  • Don Bluth is an exceptional and amazing animator!!!!

  • lovelovelove this movie <3

  • Figures dancing gracefully, across my memoooooorrrrrrryyyyyyy!!!!! So pretty :3 <3

  • Thank you so much for not throwing in a different song in the introduction or making this a fandub.

I while I don't mind the fandubs, it just drives me up the wall that some person would ruin such a beautiful sequence with completely ill-fitting music and obnoxious credits to the glory that is themselves.

  • this is the reprise not the real one

  • her dad is a boss

  • why do all the guys look human and the girls like ghosts?

  • @Sakerasuijima it's more noticeable with the girls becuz of the flowy dresses.

  • @Sakerasuijima because Anastasia is remembering the way things used to be in the palace when she was little. It all seems like a dream to her at this point.

  • Beautiful.

  • When I first saw this movie, I wanted that yellow dress! It's beautiful

  • @TheDisneyfanatic99 I wanted it and still do, it's very pretty and brings out the lost child inside

  • This scene is so much more heart-renching when you know what happened to her family.

  • @AceHainley I agree. I used to watch this movie over and over as a kid, and I adored it. But after learning about the Romanovs and their story, the movie held a lot more emotion and meaning for me. Though it's probably not true, one can only hope that Anastasia did manage to escape her fate.

  • I always get so mad when Dmitri like ruins this touching moment. Like shut up for a second and let her sing and dance with her dad!

  • This is amazing... i haven't watched this movie in ages, yet i still love this song; so inspiring to a writer like myself :)

  • What I want to hear is the full version of the song her grandma sings, because that is not what this song is. She's just putting her thoughts to words and singing them to the tune of the song, because the tune is all she remembers about it.

  • I love this movie I would always watch it this is my favorite part

  • surely demitri heard her singing since it was pretty loud? js...

  • who the flip disliked this?! i mean i respect ur opinion, but srsly how is tt possible??

  • I WANT THAT DRESS

  • @medchic256 Wanted that dress ever sense I was little, this dress and the dress that Brandy wore when she played as Cinderella!

  • Why does it look like shit?

  • i always cry when she starts to dance with her dad and she just sits down and oesnt grab his hand. :'(

  • @curvygirl811 its like the spirits in the family are still in the palace and when they notice anastasia they come out and try to help her recover her memories or just to be with her and when she dances with her father she sees him as the czar not her father, and bows instead of taking his hand. so yes it is sad esspecially since demitri interupts the slow progress she is making.

  • @curvygirl811 I always figured that it was the end of the dance.

  • i cant believe this isn't Disney

  • this actually made me cry :(

    beautiful song <3

  • I absolutely love this scene and love this song!!!! Idk about anyone else, but there's something about it that makes me want to watch it over and over again!!!:D

  • Thanks you so much. I hate all ha

    te fakes out there.

  • I was so pissed after they took this off of netflix

  • I'm Russian and the Russian culture makes me proud to be !! It still so amazed by this scene ! It gives me the shivers :)

  • The dog at 1:06 reminds me of Gurgi from The Black Cauldron. :3

  • People did you know that Meg Ryan sang this. She was the voice of the girl Anastasia for the movie.

  • @fluffykitten3 Actually, Liz Callaway is the singer.

  • Just because her body wasn't found with her family...Made her immortal, in a way. She'l never be forgotton. Annastaia was dead but nobody wanted to believe...

  • > < Now I want to watch it again!

  • love the english version of this song (i'm italian :))

  • I wish I could find this karaoke version with the choir u.u

  • Ever since I was like five I loved this movie and now nine years later I still know all the songs by heart

  • Great movie :) but isn't it weird that she denied being royalty even though she had a perfect vision of her family and the palace

  • I get goosebumps every time I'm watching this!!

  • Five Rasputins disliked this

  • Kind of looks like a watercolor painting in the first few seconds. It actually adds to the affect of the music.

  • Omg from 10 views to 100k. Amazing.

    ---

And I was one of the only Subbers :D

  • same voice as ariel <3

  • @jummasaur actually jodi benson is the voice of ariel and liz callawy is the singing voice of anastasia :)

  • Went from watching vocaloid to this...lawl

    STILL LOVE IT THOUGH. *like*

  • I love this song n this movie

  • This may not be a Disney movie but as a kid I loved it.

  • *cough* not a Disney movie *cough* *sneeze* 20th Century Fox movie *sneeze*

  • good video and good job !!!

  • 0:40 I've always loved the part when ppl came out of the paintings.

  • love it :) and here dress lol and i have to say this is one of the most detailed movies i have seen :0

  • Anybody know where to find this movie on youtube?? I haven't seen this movie in so long!!!!!!

  • @LovelyNose94 i just bought it on dvd for £3 haha bargain! :D

  • This movies now comes in a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack w/ a digital copy. I think I'm gonna get it :-).

  • scary to think she'sdancing with the dead

  • 0:50, probably one of my favorite scenes in any movie as a kid, to the point where i still think about it today

  • I was watching this movie with a friend for the first time since we were children. It was so sad when the people came dancing out of the portraits. I could just make out her whispering. "All those people are dead now..."

Truly one of the saddest kids movies, in my opinion.

  • Wish what happened in the Movie Happened in real life :L x

  • It sorta makes me sad that they would make a movie about Anastasia, which I dearly love. As we know in the movie people were inpersonating her for money and sympathy, but she was never found until a few years ago. In the movie, Anastasia was very much alive and tricked to be an impersontor and then finds her family who in real life is actually dead. Her whole family except for distant cousins. I may be dissing this, but the truth is better than lies.

  • @Adiesue1 The real Anastasia was executed by the Bolsheviks, as confirmed by DNA tests. Do you mean that they found Anastasia's remains a few years ago?

  • Thank you for putting the scene up! I could never find it.

  • i actually loved don bulth's thumbelina but didn't see this one as much and i LOVE it!!! honestly, the don bulth songs are so much better if not as good as Disney's, and really great dialogue and animation <3

  • still gives me the goosebumps... brrrrr <3

  • @kotoko11able after I read ur comment, I got goosebumps too! Or s it just cold...

  • im named after this movie

  • I love this movie and this song. But did anyone else noticed when the Anastasia's fatherwent to dance with his daughter the man who bowed and walking out of the picture suddenly dissappeared when he was nearly gone? I found it quite funny.

  • @MrsOptimusPrime101 their ghost wat do u expect

  • this is one of my favorite songs ever! I actually didn't know much about Anastasia until after I watched this movie when i was younger and started asking questions. Then when I learned her story in high school it broke my heart. To think her whole family were killed the way they were. It's so sad. My Anastasia and her family find peace in heaven were they can all be together.

  • This is the closest that any company has gotten to immitate disney, the animation quality and the songs are great!

  • @UkeMan1000 : it looks disney, because one of the disney artist helped make the movie. though it is not a disney film, it is the major reason that people confuse it to be disney. 8)

  • @UkeMan1000 fuck this is not disney's ???? SHIT!! I'VE BEEN FOOLED ALL ALONG!

  • @BlackLionFilms Nope. It isn't. It's 21 Century Fox.

  • @UkeMan1000 It's better then disney because it awesome. Not that disney isn't good but stereotypes an all that shat

  • Comment removed

  • I cant tell a thing how this is important to me! I grew up with such a materpiece! The Lion King, Beauty and the beast, and many many others from the OLD Disney has made my imagination fully established with all the beauty and magic as well. Its not like watching spongebob and silly patrick

  • i was convinced this was the true story of what happened until i was like 10

  • This NEVER gets old. EVER.

    I love this movie!

  • i always love how the burst out of stained glass windows

  • Why did it have to be her and her brother and sisters to die?why couldn't it have been someone else

  • How could ANYONE dislike this?

  • It's sad that they found Anastasia's bones out in the woods in Russia.... she never actually survived the Bolsheviks she died with the rest of her family. It's depressing.

  • so beautiful and such a tragic story, in this and in real life

  • My gawd, thank you, ever damn video I find is ether a fan dub or some other nonsense

  • Even if this movie wasnt made by disney...Anastasia should so be a disney princess :P

  • what is this song about?

  • @luvmygabie68 she (Anastasia) is remembering her past. it's not the full memory, it's just a glimpse of her family that she's singing about. she doesn't truly remember until the end.

  • You just don't get this kind of emotion from animation these days.

  • This song always brings me to tears. Beautiful!

  • I love Liz Callaway's voice! I first heard her in The Swan Princess and have been a fan ever since. Thanks for posting such a clear version of this 3
