Princess Dianas funeral - and in Melbourne Aust when he played Imagine - 2 nights after John Lennon died. This album incidentally is one  of EJ s very best - with Indian Sunset being as amzing. Beautiful in harmonies - Beautiful in lyrics.

as far as the diet coke reference, if you ever meet Elton JOhn you'll find he's ALWAYS drinking diet coke. why are people so ignorant? can't you just enjoy the music for what it is and stop trying to pick apart what's better or best? it's music..it's subjective. personally I am really moved by Elton's performace of Mona Lisas right after 9/11 at the Garden. anyone who lived in NYC at that time (as I did) knows how heart-wrenching it is to watch those firefighters, police and emergency workers honoring their dead friends. wake up idiots!
