And what's worse. My teachers aspected way too much out of me when it came to school work. They thought I was just being lazy but that's a load of bullshit. Being an Aspie I am a smart person, but I was never able to learn and work at the same pace as everyone else in class.
There's absolutely no excuse for bulllying. I have Asperger Syndrome (an Autism Spectrum Disorder) and I was bullied in school alot. It felt like I never had any friends and that there was noone to trust or nowhere to turn.
I hate bullies. I warn everyone or anyone who tries bullying me will get into trouble, because I do not back down, and in fact I did get 4 bullies in trouble. 3 were sent to the principles office, came out apologizing to me. and 1 got kicked out of my class, never saw her again. thats what happens to people who try to be mean to me. be more nice and I will be nice to, give you respect. and all of my friends know I have lots of respect for them when I say you are my friend to someone I keep it.

For the most part, learning disabled people ARE unloved. Due to the ignorance and shallowness of the general public, many teachers and parents included, we learn early to hate ourselves, and try and hide the fact that we are different. I was six years old the first time I tried to kill myself, and I still have the scar it left to remind me in case I ever forget.

I just wanted to send a note of encouragement to people with LD who have struggled with this-I recently graduated cum laude from college with a self-tailored honors degree in cultural studies. It was really hard and I did experience a lot of intolerance, but I made it. Don't give up, no matter how dark things may seem-there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

But as you get older, like say from school and going into sixth form, you will hopefully, be free from bullying and have very much less of it =)

in fact i advise you to restrict your boundaries for asking for help and instead help yourself, alone. you don't learn things by being a parasite. And by being a parasite, you must always ask for help from others for every single task to be completed.
In fact my treating of the kids at my school is an almost identical blend of fascism and social separation, i do understand and know most things about human society but instead of soaking in all the B.S. i expunge myself from those restrictions and create my own social structure, and by most standards my intellect far exceeds theirs, because i don't study. I have known most of the information from previous teachings either at home by watching programs a randomly stumble upon or by old memory.
Kids at my school know I'm L.D, but they do not make fun of me because i am a really hateful evil minded person, and they tend to cower in fear because of that, my wanting to associate with them is very nil to non-existent and in fact this has helped me get out of L.D. classes, for good. Though i only seek help when it is required to gain knowledge about something i was never taught.
My little brother id Ld. I dont see him much at all. At school the kids that are LD are always being bullied and even spit on and it really sucks to see them like that. A boy who is LD copies whatever he see's and calls everyone a bitch and curses them out.

Is it against the law in the U.K. if the bullying involves harrassment due to your child's race, gender, ethnic background, religion, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, or other protected classification?
