It makes perfect sense because an MC isnt fake in his portrayal of what's going on, he/she is raw and pure because their thoughts are not restricted as opposed to a rapper who's lyrics and freedom are restricted and parallel to that of the corporate industry. In essence an MC can be a rapper for the fact that they can create a self published label and sell to their freedoms whereas a rapper follows corporate guidelines and they cannot portray hiphop in its form

It makes perfect sense because an MC isnt fake in his portrayal of what's going on, he/she is raw and pure because their thoughts are not restricted as opposed to a rapper who's lyrics and freedom are restricted and parallel to that of the corporate industry. In essence an MC can be a rapper for the fact that they can create a self published label and sell to their freedoms whereas a rapper follows corporate guidelines and they cannot portray hiphop in its form
