i'm Italian but my ex fiancee is from Glasgow,so i know for sure that Scottish are like fine whiskey or fine wine:the older they get,the better they get <3
So i thought as i went on holiday another SM cd , why i thought ? Then as i was lying in the sun the answer hit me between the ears, because they are still brilliant , as much as N G Dream got me thru some bad days this had me running round the pool in joy...... see u on tour

Nice track. I think its great how Simple Minds failed to evolve into something other than the exact same sound they are famous for. They have not changed a single bit. and that will keep old fans happy but it does them no credit to their reputation by being unable to progress in any direction and sound like they did during their 1980s hey day.
A superb album. An all out suprise. Their best album since Sparkle in the Rain and just as good, if not better. It's more mature and a little less raw or meaty than Sparkle.
I hear Simple Minds have not been playing this on their current european tour. Bad mistake. This song would be immense live. It's the title track of the new album after all. Come on Jim& co rectify this glaring omission before the Edinburgh Castle gig.
Absolutely awesome album and title track from the boys. Can't get enough of Graffiti Soul, Jim's vocals rise to a new level on this album, especially Light Travels and this track. Should be the number 1 album around the world!!
I'd say 'GS' album is better than 'Real Life'. I liked that album but there were a few duff songs on it - all the songs on 'GS' are 'glittering prizes'.
Fucking Awesome album!!!First three tracts hit it out of the park , in my opinion.Just getting to the other nuggets like this track..You guys are spoiled in Europe , we almost never see them live, can't wait for this Fall.,when they come to the West Coast. SIMPLE MINDS ARE BACK!!
darkover: - that is an excellent point you have made. In fact the title track, 'This Is It' and 'Blood Type O' (tracks 6,7,8) are not only the heart of this great album but the the soul too.
Strangely enough the title track has not been mentioned that much as a highlight of this stunning album. Well, it is an uplifting, musical tour de force by a band that should have eclipsed U2 in terms of popularity.
decent cd band, but live, they cant lace u2s boots!

U2 can keep dreaming of Simple Minds throne. Jim's voice is unbelievably good considering he is now 50. Most under-rated band in the UK.

PS Jim Kerr looks like he has down syndrome.

And you sound like an ignorant who wants change just for the sake of change itself - pointless. And that last remark just makes you an asshole.

@gregingram1970 You can only hate Kerr and Simple Minds, and enjoy your miserable life...Cheers!
