When I had just moved to Canada this one girl decided she was gonna make my life hell. I didn't know what to call what she was doing until a few months later, when my mom managed to find through extensive online searching the word "bullying". In Jr High 2 girls bullied me so much I had a mini breakdown after school one day. My mom made me stay home the next day, made me breakfast in bed, and took me to see Finding Nemo. :)

@Justin93koch I tried to throw many a punch when I got bullied (after years and YEARS of it). I got my butt suspended numerous times and the kids who bullied me got nothing. Oh, and then I lost some of my memory from the stress. No joke.
It really does get better though, because about six months after that in Grade 9, I met my best friend, who has to be one of the greatest men in the world. We're practically siblings now, and I thank God everyday for bringing him into my life.

getting bullied is not synonymous with being gay...i got bullied for being over weight. i got bullied for being a christian. my friend got bullied for being muslim.
I'm in my last year of high school now. Through grades 5-9, I was bullied every day, non stop, because I was different. I switched schools. I made friends that, as I know now, I couldn't live without. Now, because of closure to the school that made me who I am, I'm back to the school I was at in grade 9. And the weird thing? I wasn't bullied this year yet.
People forget, I guess. It got better for me; I'm confident it will get better for everyone else in a bullying situation as well.

Hah, man. It's so true, seriously. Middleschool and highschool fucking sucked for me. Big time. It was horrible. Every day was a living hell. Now I'm in 5th year of my university career and it is amazing. 99% of the assholes who made my life horrible in highschool never made it this far anyways, and the 1% who did are being drown out by the hundreds of friends I have now.
Grade nine - worst nine or ten months of my life. Barely made it through. If you're getting sh!t on, trust me, it gets better. Been there, done that and if we compare stories, I can assure you, we're on the same page.
They tell children in school that the girls need private studies to learn about female issues because the opposite is true. Not because one group is more intelligent but because men decide truth(status quo) The idea that men and women can be equals is a christian one. When I had just moved to Canada this one girl decided she was gonna make my life hell. I didn't know what to call what she was doing until a few months later, when my mom managed to find through extensive online searching the word "bullying". In Jr High 2 girls bullied me so much I had a mini breakdown after school one day. My mom made me stay home the next day, made me breakfast in bed, and took me to see Finding Nemo. :)

@Justin93koch I tried to throw many a punch when I got bullied (after years and YEARS of it). I got my butt suspended numerous times and the kids who bullied me got nothing. Oh, and then I lost some of my memory from the stress. No joke.
It really does get better though, because about six months after that in Grade 9, I met my best friend, who has to be one of the greatest men in the world. We're practically siblings now, and I thank God everyday for bringing him into my life.

I'm in my last year of high school now. Through grades 5-9, I was bullied every day, non stop, because I was different. I switched schools. I made friends that, as I know now, I couldn't live without. Now, because of closure to the school that made me who I am, I'm back to the school I was at in grade 9. And the weird thing? I wasn't bullied this year yet.
People forget, I guess. It got better for me; I'm confident it will get better for everyone else in a bullying situation as well.

Now I'm in 5th year of my university career and it is amazing. 99% of the assholes who made my life horrible in highschool never made it this far anyways, and the 1% who did are being drown out by the hundreds of friends I have now.

Though even without the phobia, kids have been bullied for many other reasons in the past as in the present day. The campaign targets a specific bullied group. im still in school. but i go to one of the most accepting schools in canada (by my opinion) but i was bullied non stop from kindergarden to grade 8, and cause almost all of the students in my high school have been bullied at one point, the cafeteria was a sea of purple that week.
