  • YES. I LOVE YOU.

  • If god hates gays so much...why doesn't he just change them...just saying.

  • I keep looking for "Separation of Church and State" but it's not in the Constitution, Rachel. This man needs to do his homework.

  • You right wing evangelicals want to pray the Gay away, but that will never happen as you cheat on your spouses as well! Also, you evangelicals are a bunch of damn snobs!

  • All right wingers suck and are out to destroy America!

  • she is a hot lesbian. although her voice is unattractive

  • @bax2684 he is kind of good looking

  • Oberdouche and MadCow are such hateful morons. Religion is only something to fear if it commands followers to harm. And it doesn't matter if she believes God directs her life. Why are these people so threatened.

  • @crackmonkeys4hire because chritians actively restrict right of certain groups in out country. they also actively destroy science education in our country. i would say that is a threat. besides. we do not need a leader who follows the bible. we need a leader that follows the constitution. THAT is the law of the land, not some 2000 year old holly book.

  • @avalsonline2 What groups are "Christians" actively restricting? Last time I checked only the courts could restrict a group. Yes "many" Christians are against "SOME" groups on moral grounds but I would expect you would be against some groups like NAMBLA on moral grounds. Do you think every group should be allowed to run unfettered regardless of the ideologies they expound? Should we not restrict groups such as NAMBLA or perhaps the KKK?

  • @crackmonkeys4hire should we restrict nambla or the KKK? which rights should we restrict? freedom of speech? who gets to decide? no, free speech is a double adged sword my dear. you do not have to like it.

christian groups and christian politicians have been resticting the rights of gays. rights to serve in the military, to adopt children and to marry. the simple truth is, one person's rights begin where the other one's end. and christians have been restricting rights for no good reasons.

  • @avalsonline2 Oh I see now. You support child rapists teaching others how to rape children and get away with it. And apparently you don't have a problem with lynchings. So what other groups are you in support of? Perhaps the Nazis. I guess you believe mass murder is not something to be concerned about. Is this what liberals believe? That it is wrong to make judgements against child rapists, murdering racists, or genocidal maniacs. Who get;s to decide? Why is it even a question?

  • @crackmonkeys4hire DO NOT PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH! i was talking about freedom of expression. maybe you should read the entire damn post. one person's rights begin where the other one's end. that includes murder. ofcourse murder and rape should be illigal. to make judgements is not the same as restricting rights. and gays have been restricted from military servise, child adoption and marriange. how does that infringe on anybody's rights?? do we restrict marriage rights from KKK members or nazis?

  • @avalsonline2 I did read your post and clearly your intent was to defend freedom of speech regardless of the form of expression "free speech is a double adged sword my dear. you do not have to like it." (your comments). Your whole premise is to support so called "Gay Rights" through the idea of freedom of expression. Gays have all the same rights as straights (to marry one of the opposite sex). The military also restricts the disabled and those under or over age.

  • @crackmonkeys4hire no, they do not have the same rights, or do you have selected seeing? they cannot serve in the military and they cannot adopt children. as for gay marriage, the concept of marriage has been redefined plenty of times, including this country and in this century. what legal basis is there to disallow gay marriage?

  • @avalsonline2 "what legal basis is there to disallow gay marriage" The fact that the will of the people overwhelmingly supports marriage as has been defined for thousands of years. The bonding of opposites Male and Female. Just because liberals attempt to circumvent the will of the people by using activist judges does not negate the fact that the People do not support homosexual marriage. California has twice passed laws by a huge majority reaffirming traditional marriage.

  • @crackmonkeys4hire people's will is not a legal mandate. if tomorow people voted to reinstate slavery by a landslide of 98 %, it would still be wrong and illigal. fact is, gay rights have been restricted by the efforts of christins voters, christian groups and fianacial tanks, politicians and biggots. therei s no legal basis for this, only the mandate of a 2000 year old holly book. folow the constitution or hang like traitors. no room for the bible in DC.

  • @avalsonline2 why dont all of you hater right wingers go fuck yourselves! You are worthless mother fuckers!

  • @padude64 wrong commenter, i assume. i am no right winger.

  • @padude64 Hey, dude. Calm down. Shouting broad statements like that do nothing. A political stance doesn't determine someone's worth. If you wanna fight them, fight their argument. Show them where they are wrong. And for God's sake, be civil.

  • @tangent94 I am not calming down! The right wingers are to be thrown out of damn office period!

  • @avalsonline2 To continue... Military restrictions have to do with the needs of the military. Despite what you liberals believe the military is not a social club and "Openly Gay" members are disruptive to group dynamics and unit cohesion especially when the unit is made up of young men whose natural social tendency is to be repelled by homosexual activity and therefore put the homosexual in danger creating a distraction that has nothing to do with defending the country (the job of the military)

  • @crackmonkeys4hire disruptive group dynamics? i see. kinda like in the 40s it was disruptive for group dynamics to allow blacks to serve with whites.

this is horse shit my friend. you have just admited gays do nto have the same rights, presumably because our brave fighting men are afraid more of openly gay men than they are of blood thirsty maniacs dead set to kill them. this, at the time when the military needs all the recruits it can get. really, this is grade A horseshit.

  • @avalsonline2 "at the time when the military needs all the recruits it can get." Really? is that why the Navy and Air Force are beginning to RIF(Reduction in Force) existing members. Perhaps you did not notice but with the current economy the military has more than enough recruits. And now I am done it is late and you and I will not agree and you will become more angry and eventually start calling me names. I hope you have a good night and wake up feeling well and happy.

  • @crackmonkeys4hire names? really? i have been civil with you, friend. whatever gave you that idea.

  • @jawsjaws

    Your kidding right?

  • God Bless Sarah Palin. Go to hell Olbermann.

  • @JawsJaws So very Christian of you.

  • @JawsJaws That would be "Go to hell" Mr. Oberdouche and Ms. MadCow...

  • I like that Fox News jab.

  • Having faith only tells me that you're a gullible sheep, or bold faced liar to manipulate gullible sheep ;)

  • @annata12

Why would someone who believes in a higher power be gullible?

I have seen the case for atheism as I have seen the case built for Christ. Just because I came to a different conclusion doesn't make me or anyone else a fool.

Let me guess you cling on to every speech and appearance Richard Dawkins makes. Well did you know he actually believes in intelligent design. He doesn't believe it's by a God yet he does look at the human gnome and clearly sees all of this didn't just happen.

  • @davitodude You don't just believe in a higher power i presume, but a lot of propositions from some ancient holy book. Just believing in a higher power is completely divorced from religion, which claim to have knowledge of it's preferences and it's plan for you and to believe those propositions is what makes you a sheep.

  • @annata12

If you were brought up in a non-religious home or a home who supported Eastern European philosophy then I too could say you have been indoctrinated because your belief today coincides with the way you were brought up. Hopefully indoctrination is not true in yours or any other persons case. Hopefully you've grown up a bit and began challenging the people you surround yourself with.

  • You people laugh at this bou you don't realize that this is very sad and horrorific at the same time, can you begin to understand the ramifications of Sarah Palin in the white house?

  • Please, let's not talk about churches and pastors.

  • these people..im sure that i agree with them on most things, yet they're just as bad as fox. bias with any inclination is still bias. all bias is bad, especially in the news

  • @nohomo1234567890, what the hell are you talking about? Sarah Pailin deserved every criticism here.

  • @hoboboxerjoe - For sure. And Obama deserved every bit he got with Wright. Right?

  • @gombis666, I don't know, how much do you think he got for it?

  • I <3 Rachel Maddow

  • I'll be honest. While I may laugh my ass off at the whole thing now. I WAS scared shitless that people were going to vote for this idiot. It was unbelieveable.

  • You people swear like being an atheist in today's world is tough. Give me a break, as a former atheist myself I can tell you it is so easy to not give a rats ass, and believe in nothing. Before you go along accusing Christians about forcing their religion down your throat, take a look at yourselves.

  • @NeedlesTheSpace

    I failed sorry.

I wouldn't have such an issue with it....except people base their entire lives on something so completely irrational and, in all honesty, unnatural.

  • BATHTUB BOY , YOU SAID GOD HE OR SHE ?? ONE DAY YOU WILL SEE.

  • Another progressive bashing Christians. Mother Teresa was a Christian. He is making fun of all followers including Mother Teresa. What great humanitarian is Olbermann or any proggresive. All you do is hate Christians. Why, because you love to hate? Then you go out and tell us what great people you are. I would rather be associated with Mother Teresa and follow her perspective on life than any of you progressives with your twisted philosophy!

  • Who? Rachel Maddow? She's not "running down" Palin's "religion", she's worried that Palin's beliefs might have an inordinate effect on her public policy decisions.

  • only in america

  • Are these two liberal hosts atheists?

  • What difference would that make?

  • nope. whatever religion makes you feel more comfortable, that's their religion.

  • @frankystein12 Hey guys, what is this?! Assuming you guys are fans of these two hosts, which would probably be the case, I would like to point out that I am a liberal atheist. So it would seem that the wording of my question is so horrible that it caused you guys to think I am a bible-thumping Republican?! I am offended!

  • When she's going 'Lord make a wake!, Lord make a way!' she sounds like Chris Rock

  • its funny that so many americans who live in the desert and taliban/ muslims who live in the desert share basically the same hate and ignorance but still fight each other just because their books have a diffrent name

  • Comment removed

  • im not against liberal americans or muslims btw...

  • You're absolutely right.

  • thank you :-)

  • haha my friend smells of wee

  • Comment removed

  • Sarah Palin is an idiot!

  • @padude64 Wow...you sound really smart. Do us all a favor...find a corner....suck your thumb....say "take me to a happy place", stick the other thumb up your ass, pull it out slowly....listen for that special pop sound...and then jump up with joy!!! Repeat this cycle 10 times. It is equivalent to your 5 word statement :)

  • Keith you rock! Billo is a clown Hannity is full of insanity and Coulter is a witch!

  • Number one! I do not put up with haters! Number 2! You teabagers need to burn in hell because your teabag party never did any good! Number 3! Did your God tell you that he loves gays anyway! ????

  • You republicans need to be in a tar pitt! IDIOTS!

  • There is no republirat hater to win for president! Wanna debate me republicans, well bring it on big men!

  • Comment removed

  • I'd like to see your daily stick...

  • Comment removed

  • Keith and Rachel are da bomb! Fox news sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes, they are the bomb! A ratings bomb! They are only kept around because MSNBC is a dedicated arm of the Democratic party!

  • Religious nutcases need to burn in hell as right winged idiots! I hope you all burn and I hope the bigotry us washed out of you when you burn!

  • Sooooo condescending.

  • I thought Rachel Maddow is supposed to be very intelligent. Can someone please explain to me the logic she uses:

    1. A belief exists that you can "pray away gay..."

    2. RM says being gay is caused by any number of things...I can pretty much assure you that not praying enough is not one of those things...

How can you jump from #1 to #2? She is either knows better and is being deceptive or ? By her "logic" swallowing a teaspoon of sugar cures hiccups, not swallowing sugar is a cause.

  • You make the jump by being politically correct. she, at the time, was a brand new media persona, and was not yet seeking to totally piss people off. IMHO, shes basically trying to state -in a roundabout way- how totally silly and absurd the fundies are being.

I prefer the blunt approach, myself - you choose what religion you practice, what you have faith in (no child is born with faith in any god, regardless of fundie claims to contrary). you do not choose who you feel sexually attracted to.

  • Overbite and Manboy specialize in being deceptive.

  • It is about high time that bigots need to stop the anti-gay crap coming from the mouth! Do you bigots realize that HIV is spreading rapidly because of your fucking attitude!

  • No, I think HIV spreads through adults making free will choices about sexual activity.

  • wrong asshole and if you want to debate me bring it on turd!

  • lol. If that were true O'reily would have been fired a long time ago.

  • You republicans claim to be religious which is a lie! All you republicans are are a bunch of money hungry idiots!

Republicans hate unions which I am a member of!

You republicans need to be taught a lesson!

  • Comment removed

  • You fucking republicans are dirty two faced bastards! Don't tell me you are religious when you lie out of your teeth!

AYou republicans are a bunch of filth who need to be eliminated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • palin is fucking nuts.

  • And you are allowed to vote. Long live democracy!

  • Nothing scares me more than some religious nut, like Bush, who thinks God is talking to him and telling him to cleanse the world. Inquisition comes to mind.

  • God's will (for all who believe in stupid magic), is obviously to bring down the USA :) This is easily achieved by voting for people like miss Wasilla or a crook like McCain. You don't need a god for that. Just vote.

  • About 5 minutes in Olbermann and Maddow discuss the pray the gay away movement. Maddow's response is very funny: "Being gay can be caused by any number of things, I can pretty much assure you that not praying enough is not one of the things that causes the gay." She's gay btw, making for funny and awkward moment--Keith loved her response though.

  • I love the way she will randomly put "the" in front of some words, like "the gay." She always says, "I don't watch the TV."

  • Our Constitution states that there is supposed to be a separation of church and state. We are to honor religious freedom and VOTE THE ISSUES!!!

  • Some, in fact, many people let religious philosophy influence their policy making, like the video suggested. An extreme example is when Huckabee ran on a platform of Christianizing the constitution. And religious zealots feel an increasingly secularized world is what is moving us toward the end of times. Ironically, it is religious zeal that got Bush elected in 2000, rather, that moved us toward a more credulous end of times--for humanity anyway.

  • Totally correct...and, don't forget the environment!!! VOTE!!!

  • The Constitution never mentions separation of church and state.

  • Check FIRST AMENDMENT. Sheesh

  • Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The "Establishment" clause of the 1st amendment prohibits the establishment of a national religion by Congress or the preference of one religion over another, or religion over non-religion NOT separation of church and state.

  • You say tomato, I say potato.

  • I mean no disrespect to all you religious nuts out there. but most of you are delusional thinking that religion and politics is a good mix.Look at the last eight years of this last administration.this country is going down the toilet thanks to the religious idiots out there.please use common sense next time you vote.

  • "kind of like fox news" LOL!

  • i tell every knee shall bow every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ Is lord, i encourage mr olberman and and all who watch him to turn to Christ this day!

  • People need to stop thinking that some god will guide our country into glory. How can they not see the damage this country has sustained during the bush administration due to this line of thinking? Christianity is ruining America.

  • pray away the gay....roflol

  • Pray away the bigot!

  • She doesn't have any plans for being president. She thinks the world is ending she she doesn't need to think about it.

  • I'm so excited about McCain picking this rapture crazed, moose shooting, book censoring cheerleader as his VP. Sarcasm implied.

  • I very much doubt being an atheist is a pre-requisite for an MSNBC job, however a main theme of this particular show is poking fun at people who say very dumb things, and I'm sorry, but throughout history the deeply religious have been chief among those who say very dumb things on a regular basis. Instead of crying about someone saying mean things about you religion why not try to actually argue some of their points and see where you get?

  • If you think this mild banter on TV is mocking religion, then I hope you never use the internet, where people tear down the insanity of religion much more ferociously.

  • Boy, what crap (from Palin, not Keith^^)

  • Well spotted Keith, I'm British and I spotted the Union Jack/Union Flag appearance of the graphic too.

  • well, remember, this g0d usually works with water - parting the Red Sea, water into wine, walking on water, et al - which as you know, is not nearly as thick as oil, so i suppose it would take a little longer... or maybe it's all just a bunch of rambling nonsense from another g0d-slobbering zealot with delusions of messianic grandeur.

  • cant hurt to prayer, "drill baby drill"

  • i hate this bitch sooo much!!! if this bible thumping bitch should happen to be Vice President, this country will go to shit!

  • God Give me oil!

  • Is that only thing you can say?
