  • Childhood memories from the 70's!! Shelly Hack was perfect in the commercials. Mel torme is awesome

  • Charlie I think came out in the early 80's.

  • @jakevanfan The Charlie fragrance was introduced in 1973.

  • How come everybody hates that Charlie perfume now (or did they always hate it)? I remember the original Charlie in the drugstores/pharmacies in the 90s around the time when they first came out with the different versions in the boxes in different colors but the original blue Charlie was OK to me, it was a bit strong and spiky but there was worse out there from the drugstore....like Emeraude.

  • Excellent commercial....

but that perfume smelled hideous...like Raid...

  • at Bullocks.....

  • MEL TORME!!!

  • @cpalmerston I had no idea who he was the last time I saw this ad.

  • Shelley Hack was great in these commercials!!! Television needs her back !!!

  • Charming lady , perfect at Revlon Charlie Commercial !

  • If someone came onto my boat party walking like that, I'd throw them overboard.

  • @squanto2 HAHAHA best reply ever. alot of people sure did prance around in the 80's like their crack didnt stink.

  • @Intheric0 Wasn't this 70's ? Better than" She's wearing TRAMP and everybody loves her" !

  • Wish they;d release Season 5 of Charlie's Angels to DVD...

  • Very classy all the way. It's a winning combination having the beautiful and classy Shelley Hack and the always classy Mel Torme!

  • Bobby was waaaaaay better!

  • hey!....the gorgeous guy at the very end of commercial w/shelley is matt collins,a top male model way back in the 1970"s!!

  • @willomina1990 Well he looked good

  • It's Tiffany Welles! A Charlie's Angel.

  • I love Shelly Hack.

  • She was gorgeous but that perfume uck.

  • LOL @ Bullock's. I miss that department store.

  • thought that was Cybil Shepard.

  • That's an interesting name for a perfume :)

  • My first exposure to Mel Torme'. Awesome. Thanks for posting.

  • Shelley Hack not treated very well by Charlie's Angels producers, nice to hear from other Shelley Hack fans out there!

  • I remember the TV show she had with some actor. They hated each other off camera.

  • I was young enough back then to long for the kind of life such commercials seemed to promise, and yet old enough to realize that it could never be mine no matter how much "Charlie!" I sprayed on myself and my belongings. Such is the genius and the evil of Madison Ave.: It makes you yearn for things that aren't real, and that would poison your life even if you could get them.

But wasn't Shelley Hack lovely in these ads, as the carefree young darling of everyone she met? *Sigh*

  • She's Charlie's Angel and she loves wearing Charlie.

  • Been looking for this for YEARS! Can't believe it's here. thanks so much for posting. Gotta love Mel!

  • Mel Torme!

  • Shelley Hack was never lovelier!

  • The Velvet Fog...

  • Classic. Innocent, in comparison with today's blind, pandering shilling for anything and everything, in portraying what Revlon thought the epitome of modern womanhood was looking for. And to top off this time capsule: Mel Torme. Very nice.

  • Mel Tormé!
