Wolves use to bite humans when they were eating but over 5,000 years dogs don't bite like they use to. If we train crocodiles for 5,000 years, or lions, tiger, sharks, they will get use to humans as dogs did.
Gustave was shot 5 times in the head alone, an has survived an still functioning well.
This Reptile, no matter what your belief is sees this man as something completely different. Not as another Crocodile an not as prey.. What exactly we will never know, Croc's r far more intelligent then people give them credit for.
Some may claim Croc's don't bite the hand that feeds, but that hasn't stopped the rest of them. I'd sell my soul to be able to do this. Lucky Lucky man he is.
I think any animal will become attached to the person who saves their life. I read about this happening in Australia between a fisherman and a female great white, although later there was some doubts about the story's authenticity .
While crocodiles are not know to have any social bonds like all mammals, they are know to work together with other crocs to tear apart food. So it is possible that they look at him more of an ally then say a dog looks at a human like its leader. The crocodiles are intelligent enough to know when they got a good thing going I guess.
this guy could get hurt at any moment.. but after 20 years.. i dont think it would happen.. some animals are just a little smarter then we would like to think.. and seeing as the dude saved it after it had been shot.. prolly gives it food...
I dunno.. when ur in water where you have no footing.. with a croc.. theres no contest if he wants to over power you.. to see that man wrestling around with him.. that croc knows he has it good.. and prolly doesnt wanna fuck that up
@TophBeiFong2 that is true... a hungry animal is a hungry animal... even a dog being your best friend for years and years if starved.. may bite at you... animals get very odd when hungry.. so this i agree..... but its amazing to see this kind of interaction... since any wild croc will munch you right away
It dawned on me while watching videos of people with dangerous pets, that the single good thing you can say about Humans on Earth, is that we can show tremendous love to animals, without asking anything in return. We even risk our lives to show love to dangerous animals. Somewhere in our hearts, we have unconditional love.
@supermuble Very few of us do. Most would shoot the animal just for shits and giggles. I raised "Gus" the Athens Freshwater Fisheries Center mascot, hes a 10ft alliagtor. I lived in that area as well it seems like every redneck you run into has a "heroic" tale about them shooting an alligator. Its pathetic. The croc in the vid is an American Crocodile, the American Alligator is typcially even more docile.
@slippy441@slippy441 I am amazed that you are brave enough to raise a 10ft Alligator. Way to go! I grew up in Washington state, and I've only seen one tiny crocodile in a pet store. Seeing a large alligator in person would be really scary for me. However, I agree. People think it's cool to shoot and kill things for no reason.
look at everyone over the years ppl who tames tigers lions bears etc they keep them as pets than like 3 years later chomp the cunt eats or attacks you... because its nature thats the way it works each time he swims or goes near that thing he rolls the dice, eventually it will turn on him and then it'll get destroyed by authorities for doin something its ment to do.. this guy is a nutter and i love watching crazy shit like this :)
the croc is only TOLERATING the man. Its just not attacking him becuz he knows thats his only meal ticket. He even tried to let it go in the wild but it came back cuz it didnt know how to hunt for itself. Its helpless without that man and i think it knows it. So he may or may not get tired of that guy......
@fromstart2finish makes sense, but i do think the croc looks at him like a friend too. the news reporter is wrong by the way, the man found his pet 20 years ago, not 5.
@gsd767 What do you mean? The very fact that the man rescued and nurtured it caused them to form a companionship between the two. It's not much of a wild animal if he rose it. It's kinda cute actually.
How the fuck do you know what the croc is planning, neekaah? Croc´s have even smaller brains than his nigga chum and your good self, therefore it is unwise to second guess their intentions. @Lightfromsirius You can tame most animals, it just requires many years breeding several generations to suitable docibility by consistantly hand-rearing each newborn as soon as possible and a lot of people losing various body parts in the process.

I have a pet alligator that one of my dad's fishing buddies found in a river. He was pretty small, but if I keep him well fed, he lets me play with him. And I only play with him when he has a full belly, because I know their instincts are to kill for food. He even let's me brush his teeth. I do this just so he gets use to me messing with his mouth and not me actually sticking my finger into it.
@7891midnight actually the croc is only friends with him cuz he trusted him after he was rescued and befriends him cuz he gives gim food n such. crocs dun givashit about being sold out for money, as long as he/she's well fed lol
Just hope the thing has an elephants memory and the capacity for gratitude and it will never try to roll him if it gets agitated by his bullshit show.
uh i agree... They are amazing but let that thing get hungry... i think its crazy that the aligator hasnt eaten him already. I dont think he realizes that when he feeds him, that that alligator sees him as a source of food... He will be in next weeks news!
Actually it's not unlikely that he'll never see him as food supply. When the crocodile has connected that deep to him it is as if he regards him as another crocodile which in turn isn't improbable given the pararells of lifesaving and lifegiving, the latter being parental.
He's nuts

Hahah. I imagine it took a long time for the croc to trust him enough to wrestle around like that in the water with him.
It may be a basically wild animal, but even wild animals can get used to free meals every day, and eventually grow fond of their caretakers.

Raise any animal from a young age and it will not be violent to you(mabye to others) but not to you.

Just hope the thing has an elephants memory and the capacity for gratitude and it will never try to roll him if it gets agitated by his bullshit show.

I guess he not afraid kinda like how some people can hug and wrestle with their dogs but other people get the shit scared out of them.
Supercucu123 1 year ago
uh i agree...

Animals aren't just ... animals ;)
