to the car may look a little old fashioned but it goes like lightning, and I have never Niva nave deceived me not burst even at -25 from the first, although not as a newer car electronics but I bet in life that no one will make a similar vehicle, such as Russians made​..... I've always liked the looks of the Lada Niva. It's better looking than most other Russian made vehicles I've seen. It's too bad this vehicle never made it to the USA. It would've been interesting to see what the (former) Soviet Union had in the way of cars and trucks. Like anything that gets sold here, it has to meet certain standards in emissions, safety and other things. But anything rugged enough to withstand Russian driving and climate should be more than acceptable here in North America.

a great simple utilitarian vehicle. no bells nothing to go wrong. easy to fix, if it can cope with russias winters it can cope anywhere.....and.....now available in the UK on import for about 8 to 10 thousand pounds

@cotax: Try to find 1.6 one in good shape or at least 1.7 SPI (no MPI). To be honest - MPI is too faulty. Niva hasn't been made to be controlled by computer...In the other hand - it's hard to find older car in good condition. No justice in this world:) Be good - be happy;)

@cessar1982 Hello cessar! Guess what, i found 1995 Niva with 1.6 carburator engine but newer chassis and interior like 1.7 nivas have! And it has electronic controled choke, catalisator. I was looking for 1.7SPi and found one, but was in really bad shape (rust all over the place). This one is in very well condition and it has original russian offroad tires with only 5000km. So I am very happy, that i found it :) Thanks for your help anyways! Im happy, i hope you are too ! :)
