My carp eat flakes, tablettes and (frozen) mosquito larvae. But you can

also try some vegetables (like cucumber), they maybe like it too.

Cool, I have almost the exact set-up. Couple comets and 2 baby carp that I got from the feeder tank at PetSmart and treated with salt/heat to kill the Ich. Get an undergravel filter in addition to your exisitng filter -- it works great for goldfish -keeps the detritus etc. down on the gravel instead of floating around.
