  • its 2001

  • So Living Sacrifice and The Chariot need to tour together and put this on the set list somewhere!!

  • what year was this taken?....pretty sure i was there for this one

  • @Mytherel 1999 or 2000

  • THEYRE ALL SO YOUNG! AND SKINNY!

  • Surprised that the two being in the same song didn't create a fricken black hole that destroyed the universe.

  • Become a fan of Josh Scogin's Laugh on Facebook. Just search "Josh Scogin's Laugh" exactly as I spelled it!

  • damn, i was there for that. that was a long time ago

  • I was there that year. Shortly after Bruce took a new job and The Sac broke up. Now there is a freaking band I'll miss!

  • they're back dude writing a new album and everything

  • This was my first Cornerstone. I was 15 years old then. This vid brings back memories. Things have certainly changed sense then. Like Josh has gained some weight, huh? I remember them doing this, but I had no Idea who Josh Scogin was at the time, so I was confused as to why he was out there and not Dan Wayent.

  • I'm pretty sure it was 2K1, that was the only year I got to go, and I remember seeing LS cover Zao, but I wasn't sure who they had with them.

BTW, I have that same guitar that Bruce plays. :D I was excited to see that.

  • i think i need to change my pants :)

  • I still remember when Josh was in Luti Kriss, oh sorry "Norma Jean" now, stupid rapper made them change their name

  • actually the stupid rapper was their excuse to change their name they had always wanted to

  • The rapper didn't make them, from what I hear.

But anyways, this rocks, LS and Josh Scogin covering a Zao track, how cool is this. :P

  • I don't care that much now, but I would've flipped over this back in 2001. Still, thanks for uploading it.

  • Holy FUCK

  • It shouldn't matter what their religious influences are. Just listen to the music and stop letting all this religion-music classification control your opinions or what you will listen to. It sounds so naive when people talk about metal and "christian metal" like they are two separate genres. Metal is metal, regardless of subject matter.

  • but zao aren't metal, they are hardcore

  • They started Hardcore with their old, old line up. Then they went to metalcore, and then to metal, and back to metalcore.

  • its best not to get lost in the mess of genres there is out there. to define a band, just fucking listen to them!

    music is not static

  • dude, you looked good til ya cursed! Why did you

insert it? Since it doesn't match...

  • its not about looking good man. it would be disingenuous of me not to...

  • "The fact that until recently the word "shit" appeared in print as s— has nothing to do with moral considerations. You can't claim that shit is immoral, after all! The objection to shit is a metaphysical one. The daily defecation session is daily proof of the unacceptability of Creation. Either/or: either shit is acceptable (in which case don't lock yourself in the bathroom!) or we are created in an unacceptable manner."

    Alex Kundera

  • Or some people find fecal matter discusting regardless if we must pass it on a nearly daily basis and don't want to have to think about it when they don't have to and get annoyed when someone thinks they are more genuin when they say it.

I swear way too much, but one sin I won't commit is thinking I am "real" for doing so. Am I more real for not thinking it isn't "real" of me to swear?

    haha

  • but zao aren't metal, they are hardcore

  • One of those "essential" hardcore songs, Christian or not.

  • absolute essential hardcore!

  • ok peeps im not tryin to harsh anyone's mello but zao is a christian band they said that theyre still christian they rnt trying to make in a commercial thing. so hope that clarified some stuff so peace out. jesus loves you and dont forget it

  • MY HEART BROKE!!!!

  • Zao is my fav band of all time and Living Sacrifice is my my fav Christian metal band I would say Zao is some what chirstian but i will just get sreamed at so i wont lol

  • let me tell you a little secret. zao is also a christian band. hence why they are playing side by side with ls.

  • Not so much anymore.

  • actually, they still are. Even their songs show it from the last album that came out. They don't focus so much on it anymore. But they have a habbit of doing tours with christian bands like Soul embraced and others.

  • I'm gonna guess this was done last year. It was supposed to be the last time LS traveled as a group. part of the group has branched and joined with former members of evanescence and started a band called Soul Embraced. You can check out SE's myspace for more info.

  • yeah Soul Embraced is awesome, Rocky Gray plays in it btw (the guitar player of SE and LS)

  • yeah Soul Embraced is awesome, Rocky Gray plays in it btw (the guitar player of SE and LS)

  • Bruce Fitzhugh = MORE METAL THAN EVERYONE

This was one of the best Cornerstone's ever. Lots of awesome moments.

  • My 2 ultimate bands man!ZAO and Living Sacrifice! It's too bad living sacrifice broke up the band!Rocky Gray (Lead guitarist)is now a drummer!

  • Doesn't he drum for some shit band like Evanescence or something, though???

  • he left them now, and is guitarist for soul embraced.

  • That's weird, the former vocalist of Norma Jean performing with the current vocalist of Norma Jean's old band.

  • lol how ironic.

  • aww... you cant really see lance on the drums... lance was my favorite member of living sacrifice... still a great performance

  • I always think that whenbruce is seriously headbanging he looks like a peking chicken. lol maybe thats just me.

  • i was there...thanks for putting this up.

  • Man, that was so badass.

  • wow...thats all i can say.love both ZAO and LIVING SACRIFICE

  • I was there. awesome show.

  • either cornerstone 2002 or 2003, im thinking 2002 though
