I only managed to get to the boss twice and died straight away both times. I always end up drowning in the pink liquid...tring to get up those there stairs. Or what ever they're called. Or crushed. I might have another go tomorrow...

That pink stuff isn't water, it's Mega Mack (aka megamalatricarboSonichloride) which is a nasty poison Robotnik flooded the zone with in order to kill Sonic. These are the joys of having the original cart and manual... to hand... and not from memory (or Wiki)... Honest.

Looking forward to watching you do Wing Fortress Zone. That boss can suck my... *ahem*.
