  • Your lessons are the best.....

  • Really love your beginners blues lessons. Good stuff! Thanks man!

  • Thanks alot my friend!!!!! very helpful .

  • Great lessons!

Extra info I found usefull when learning the blues for myself:

There are variations on the 12 bar blues, you can find them anywhere on the internet if you are curious really. A common one is: play the fifth chord on the twelth bar, so that would be G. And another: play the fourth on the second bar, especially usefull if you are playing it slower and want to break the big 4 times base chord part of it at the start. You might already know them but I'm just sharing them in case ;)

  • Thanks, great teaching man!

  • it helped a lot, thanx

  • This videos are great. Im a complete novice, love messin around with the blues scale, but didn't know where to go from there, these videos have given me direction. Thank you so much.

  • Great! I love these video's! It helps alot!

    Thank you, greetz from Amsterdam!

  • Thanks for taking the time to break down the basics. As someone who doesn't have access to a private teacher, it's VERY generous to offer these helpful guides for free on Youtube.

    Thank you.

  • thanks very much for taking the time to make these videos. i just watched them all straight through and got a lot out of them.

  • yeaah. you're great. thanks friend!

  • "And um... yeah... bye!" haha best ending ever. Great improvs, by the ways. Hopefully, I'll be able to do that with some practice. Thanks for the lessons.

  • Mate, you are a really good teacher. Thanks for putting the time and effort into helping simple folk like myself.

  • hi man

thank u for all those vids and could u make such a tutorial for the "i love you" i've heard it by Screaming Jay Howkins

    thanks and good luck

  • First off, you're one bad ass mother fucker on Piano. I know how to play, but I have difficulties reading sheet music. I learn by ear, or actually from tutorials on youtube lol. Mind making a Tutorial for Great Balls Of Fire for me? I'd really apreciate it. Thanks.

  • Thanks for the lessons, man! :D

  • Just great!!!, Thanks for this...

  • haha, ´that´s a bit bad, DO NOT PLAY THAT´ :P great vid dude :D

  • well after Lesson 5 for beginner, what should i do next? which clip i should go for? i cant find any lesson 6 :( pls advise. thanks

  • well all your clips are really helpful! thanks dude! all these clips are the best among the rest :)

  • hey, i'd just like to ask... when you improvise, you can play notes from both the blues scale -and- the scale of the key you're currently playing, right? so, say, you're playing a c-major chord on the left hand, so you can hit c, e, g, etc. as well as the c, eb, f, f# etc.? *confused*

  • Yes, That is correct, but obviously not at the same time :p. The combination I use makes it sound more major as the blues scale is naturally based around the minor scale.

    Hope this helps.

  • i like ur vids, v helpful mate. it wd be cool if u did a few where u just improvised through a few tracks in C to give us more ideas of playing. thanks anyway

  • Man you rock!

  • Very nice, thx again, although it would even easier to learn if only you´d call the notes properly as :

    Do-re-mi-fa......i get lost with c-d-b-w-q-z-.....!!LOL

    Thanx Ben, ;-)

  • It´s Better if you start to learn the other scale, coz normaly the people use it in mosly everywhere and guitar, harmonica... i mean it´s easy... good luck!

do re mi fa sol la si

    C D E F G A B
