30-50 frames without fraps isn't that great really for 1280x1024. Most people get 30 frames average with one 5850 at 1920x1080.

q9400 should not have a problem, he shouldn't even need to overclock it to get maxed . he most likely has a worthless motherboard.

my q9400 4 gig mushkin 1066mhz 5830 gets never lower than 30fps at 1680x1050 2xaa.

This is in combination with banks of ultra fast ram and many supercomputer type architecture CPU's built by Intel and AMD. at games they are the same shit ( but not in GTA IV of course ), but it's just check some reviews to know that, that when compared with same clock, will game around the same average and sometimes the Core 2 still superior then I5/i7.

yes it will, i had two XFX HD4830 crossfired for about 5 monts, and it wash with chiftec 400w,never restarted or droped performance due to low watage of psu

the radeon 5850 only needs 150W during high performance tasks

so you should be fine with 430W

You should record with playclaw. It isn't free (neither is fraps, but you can easily get fraps for free) but it has little to no affect on game performance, AND it has the same exact look for showing fps. Simply Amazing.

i was tryna explain to roshawn1111 that if you aint an over clocker you would go with a 5870 because its better at stock speeds than a 5850 but the 5850 can be overclocked to have a preformance increase of 38% and the 5870 is only 15-20% faster than a stock 5870 so an overclocked 5850 is a more powerful card
