So according to the Rock Church, God said it is not okay that two loving people of the same sex joining together in a legal union but it is okay to put giant holes in your ear lobes and modify your skin with drawings? I am not a bigot and do not believe in any form of discrimination against sexual orientation so I must do the Christian thing and obey the Golden Rule, thus I shall vote NO on 8! My ego is not so big that I feel i have an exclusive right to marry who I love and a gay person does not. I could not be that selfish. Because I am a Christian I cannot discriminate, I do not want my conscience calling me a hypocrite and bigot.

We love, we do not hate,Just because we speak truth out of the Bible does not mean we hate. Who gave you the right to marry in the first place? God did. This is not about Ego friend this is about Gods ultimate love and example of His perfect design through marriage. I am not sure where you got your "Golden rule" but if it's from the bible which I am assuming that it is then read the whole bible. It speaks clearly of this.sin is sin regardless of what Kind. You see the whole problem is You have a belief and I have a belief. Your belief infringes upon my rights to pursue happiness for myself. A right for Gay folks to marry does not hurt you or anyone else. The church will have to accept this, because we will not settle for anything but an equal right to marry who we love.

I do call anti-gay beliefs a form of hate because it means you do not accept a person because he is differently made than you. This is not about a sin it is about difference.

Marriage was around thousands of years waaaayyy before the biblical "God" in dozens of fabulous religions and cultures across the planet. Lots of happy peeps gettin married without any need for "God's" approval. You're statement is R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S! And most importantly, Mike, what about the many other archaic "sins" in the bible. As he said churches (people) are not suppose to hate anything that is the Lord's doing Vengance is His doing we are His creation and don't have the right to hate. Which is murder in His sight anyways, Matthew 5:21; and 1 John 3:15. But you do have to tell them the truth like everyone else in a compassion lovingly way. A person including a gay person must forsake his old lifestyle. But otherwise this church looked OK. This is the first church like this I seen that seems biblical, praise God.

Actually the Rock church is campaining for Prop.8 that would ban gay marriage in the State of California. So no they ARE imposing their views on the entire state which is in majority AGAINST this initiative.
