@ballarod00 What u have to realize is that we didn't have the same type of coverage and media back then. As a teenager back in the 80s you would have to wait almost a year before you saw anything extensive on a dunk contest.And if you didn't have cable, then you were really screwed. People wanted to see his trademark dunks, whether it was the windmill or the doubleclutch-reverse jam. You heard about it but you didn't get to see it every day or pull it up whenever you felt like it on ur computer.
@ballarod00 No, thank u. Im glad u brought it up because u brought back memories for me. I remember asking one of my highschool friends for his tape of the 86 dunk contest becuase back then he was the only guy I knew out of hundreds that recorded it. I remember being( that guy )when I had a recording of the 1991 dunk contest. Everybody kept asking me to borrow it. Not like nowadays where u pull it up at will on the computer. Everybody didn't have VCRs or cable in the mid 80s like they do now.
