I got mine today. An improvement from the Freesat SD and HD box I have but I would love to know how to record a show while watching another channel. It just wont allow me to switch over while recording. Do I need to get another feed from the Sat to the Humax Box to do this ?

@MrIrishbeef Sorry, but yes you will. When you installed your Humax Foxsat HDR it should have been explained to you that you need two cables running from the Satellite in order to watch one channel whilst recording another.

@MrIrishbeef can you see the live tv picture while in the EPG MODE with this freesat box.also i read the start up time is very slow and the epg is sluggish love to know.

its fine Paul. got it going. Only 4 days after I got the box a fox actually chewed into the cable. Got the freeview+ hd box in Newry in July and both boxes are working perfect!

Bought one week ago 230 pounds and not really much to watch Few HD chanels all rest in shitty quality if u have normal desent quality But I would still recomend if your not willing to pay and get for free 320 Gb HDD could be bigger like 0,5Tb My opinion 7/10

awesome can i ask, if i buy the box will tey send me a guy to install a brand new dish ? or do i gotta order one seperate ?

yeah,pay that money to get two channels and have to wait for the others to join.i can download the programs in hd and save some money,plus bbc streams its hd programs online now. but you get the other channels like the thriller and horror channels with it all,not sure yet,i think the new thing is coming that uses the current aerials like in france end of 09

At around £300 it's expensive. But I love it! Only dissapointment for me is the lack of High Definition channels. Only BBC has them and they chose what to put on and at the moment that's very limited. I absolutely love Freesat, but patience is needed for full use to be gained from it.
