i would like to first off say that you guys sound great..i am a fellow musican in canada and have a very well established band..and this is one of the covers that we are well known for..bluegrass is a great style of music but not for this song..again i love you guy's you sound great....
I disagree. the doobies are very country-rockesque and that's why I think it works great for bluegrass.
I think there could have been more harmony and if the lead singer could have picked it up an octive it would have been perfect. But that is being VERY harsh.
you guys have always sounded great and this is no exception..hannah and i are dying to come listen to you sometime,,,,keep us posted....you all rock!!!
Thanks. We try pretty hard to get the words right. Sometimes it doesn't work out that way! I'll advise our guitar player. Thanks so much for the complement. The doobie brothers are one our favorite bands. We love to mix some rock with our bluegrass. There is another bluegrass band that does this song bluegrass style. Their name is 3 Fox Drive. If bluegrass is your cup of tea, this might be somthing to check out. Thanks again.
Tom Johnston would be honored to have you do this'n. nicely done. i swear there's a banjo at the end of the original recording. maybe i should go look at the liner notes. Also, the last line is "looking for some happy times, and I've got to let them fly".
I'm not, But thanks! Who is this comment from?
