Why does Mao get replaced in, of all versions, the Chinese version? I could understand Sun Yat Sen getting replaced, or maybe Pu Yi (But having Pu Yi lead China is on the same level as having Wilhelm II lead Germany), but Mao?

Is it because it's possible to play as someone else and beat him? Or is there some marketing stat out there that says Chinese people prefer their ancient heritage to their recent heritage?

@jpop31 Yes its true what you say China, Tibet and Mongolia were always very close and the idea that Tibet was is also iction and i say that having one of my best friends a Tibetan. The number of people killed is debatable, but it is a fact that millions of people were executed, died in WWII, or died of famine during Stalin's reign. Tsarist Russia was far from perfect but much better than the fear, paranoia and purges of Stalin's reign.

In Russia many innocent people who were faithful to the party were accused of crimes they didn't commit and executed, which is something that Khrushchev himself mentioned in his speech in 1956 at the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Also, Stalin had many of the top people in the army killed, which is a reason why the Soviet Union lost so many soldiers during WWII.

@pukefeast Stalin is SO much better than Mao. Stalin promoted communism and had inhumane warring techniques, but Mao Zedog did that, and destroyed a peaceful country, practicley brainwashed people, forced Nepal to become Communist, and today, Chinese people descriminate Buddhists in Mao's name.
