hey my family and i were hoping to get a dog. my sibling really really want a weimaraner, so we've been looking it up and i'm just wondering ... How long do weimaraners live??? btw i'm very sorry your dog passed. It was sooooo cute!!!
I've known Weimies that were healthy well into their early teens...you might want to check out the Weimaraner Addict website and blogs to see if a Weim is the dog for you and your family. I also have standard poodles and a Bichon, but there is nothing as comical as a Weimy!
She had just had a very small stage 2 mast cell tumor removed from her leg, so we assume it was from the cancer, but we did not do a necropsy. She had never shown any sign of illness or slowing down, so it was a complete shock when she died overnight.
Great video, made me cry thinking my 11 year old weim and 11 yr old lab will be gone soon too - hopefully not for a few more years! We love them dearly!
Your Madison looked gorgeous and lots of fun.Thankyou for sharing some of your beautiful moments with us.Only wei owners understand the special connection this breed has with us. You never get over the sadness but there are great times to remember.
beautiful!!.. what I could see of it through my tears! I also have a weimy (who's laying next to me with one velvet ear on my lap and one eye on me wondering what my problem is!) and I know the inevitable will come one day but I try not to think about it!!..I am so sorry for your loss, lots of hugs xx
She is so beautiful I know exactly how you are feeling when we lost Bruno even though he was almost 12 it just didn't seem like it was long enough. Just remember all those beautiful memories on those photo's and it will be okay thats what we had to do.. I just hope tey are all enjoying themselves in heaven where they deserve to be x
Awesome ... truly awesome. Words cannot describe the myriad of emotions brought out by your video - especially when I turn around to rub my Weim's (Fritz) belly. It really reinforces the concept of "live for the now". Excellent work! Fritz sends his deepest sympathies (as we all do).
Maddie was a beautiful girl. I'm so sorry for your loss. I also lost my weim, Gus, just five days later on 6/20. We miss him dearly. Hopefully Gus and Maddie are running free in the great big beach above...with their beautiful velvet ears flopping in the wind.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I take comfort in the fact that my grieving is commensurate with the joy that I was given for almost 8 wonderful years. I hope she and Gus are romping in doggie heaven.
Thank you so much sending me a link to your video. What a gorgeous girl. I am touched that the expression of the recent loss of my half-Weim encouraged you to share your Maddie as well. From your pictures, I can see that they had a lot in common - full of energy, love, and endearing mischief. You honor Maddie with this video, and she is lucky to have been loved this much. Please take comfort in the thought that maybe she and my Endymion are sharing a couch in heaven right now. XOXO
I have 2 weims. The female is so calm, and beautiful. So is the male. What good doggs. I am sorry.

Aww, she was beautiful, and she looks so similar to our big ol' baby boy, we just lost him yesterday. Just like your Maddison, it much too soon.
Those weims sure do steal people's hearts easy, huh?
And what a beautiful tribute this is to a lost special one

A lovely tribute. We lost our own big boy on Monday and our hearts are breaking...

So very sorry...there's nothing that says joy more than a weim's wiggle. They are special creatures.

I am so sorry for your loss but happy that you once knew the incredible love and steadfast devotion of a loving Weimaraner
like Maddie. I've had Weims for the past
25+ years and can't imagine life without
them! I've had several generations of them and hope to have them for many more to come. There's nothing like a Weimaraner to snuggle up with on a cold
night. They are simply the best dogs ever!
My Charlie had cancer of the esophagus
and we had to put him down last July. I still miss him.
