That's a multifunction display. It shows everything that the crew needs to know. For example the split times, all kinds of engine parameters (oli pressure, water temp, etc.) Also some timers etc. for the codriver for the road sections.

If the co-driver can't see out the front, how does he know where on the course they are???

From what I know, the co-driver doesn't really need to see out. He has an odometer and his route book and notes which, all combined, tell him where they are on the course. After all most of the time they're looking down at their notes anyway.

That makes sense. No wonder the co-driver sounds so calm. I don't think the driver is that calm. I know I wouldn't be that calm !

The codriver definitely needs to see out.But they are siting as low as possible to keep the centre of gravity low.

And the codriver is calm because he simply doesnt have time to think about how dangerous this is.I have been a codriver on a couple of rallies.

cuz theyve done it so much , practised with the driver so much , they know on what pase they drive , and the ones that are co drivers in wrc , are so talented that they can addept to the pase of the driver , it maybe doesnt look like much , but it takes aload of balls and talent to do it well !

Estonian Urmo Aava is a class driver. I was lucky to see him driving in Ireland. He was flying like a bullet.

Fantastic! Urmo and Kuldar were really pushing there. Amazing speed on those slippery and wet tarmac roads.

Estonian language is actually somewhat similar to Finnish and I can understand some of the pace notes!
