It was easy to pick up wins back in the 1930's-60's, but you see there stats diminish as more teams become competitive. I remember back in the early 90's UK and UC (Cincinnati) were both sitting on top and the entire Cincinnati area/Northern Kentucky (where I live) we wondering if they would play. UC called out UK, and the Big Stool Nation went and hid. UC would have beat UK badly, that's why they hid. At that point, I lost all respect for UK.

I keep hearing that 5 first round picks off last years team, Did they win it all, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They didn't even make it to the final four. All the "supposed" talent, but no final four. It's hilarous, You play in a weak conference, which is easy to pile up wins. In KY you never hear about March 83, why??

Rupp's mentor at Kansas, Phog Allen, had been fighting for his black student athletes for years already at that time (i.e. Wilt Chamberlain, and KU's star player in that tournament was black (Jo Jo White). Though Rupp was a Kansas boy, and I love everything Kansas, history (not just the recent movie) shows him to be racist.
