good lawd. Yeah, you should be proud of yourself. you recorded hd on a video camera. how so, how still did you keep it. how did you hook it up. I thought you tivod it. probably would have been alot easier with a tivo that did hdtv.

Yeah, I had it on DVR in HD, but I didn't know how to get the raw signal out to my laptop to mp4 it... My little digital camera can shoot video clips in 720p as mp4, so I put the tripod on the coffee table hit record. That's why the audio sucks so bad, haha.

I think maybe any 720p mp4 video will show up in HD on youtube??? I can't get Vegas MSP to render out in that format though, so it's hard to say. Anyone have any ideas, lemme know!

lol u are funny. First the dvr has a usb u port for starters. I haven tried it but im sure you can send it out. And to be real honest. Get a video capture card. Haupage (sp) will works for me, but if you are talking hd i had one that did hd but it was ati or something like that. Then use the program nero express. I have xp (and its old) and it rips the dvr format. The format will still be the same so you shouldnt have any format problems with that program. And youtube accepts it.

Hey, thanks guys! I was totally shocked when I clicked the "Watch in HD" link, and it was REAL HD!

If anyone is curious, I recorded the TV screen with my little sony t500 point-and-shoot. At first I edited it to splice together the replays, but youtube's recompression made it look really bad.

I was kinda pissed, so in this vid I just put up the raw mp4 that came out of the camera. And WOW!

Unfortunately, my other one has way more views =)
