i tracked the problem which causes crashes. it is STAINLESS STEEL! dont install this mod. it night cause your medieval 2 tot break permanently. even, if you reinstall it.
No I don't think you want to live in the medieval it was simple HORRIBLE because of all the wars and the hygiene even a man who lives in a slum is more hygienic than a king! (thats true).
But I also love the medieval it's a very fascinating era ;D
@Peristerygr No, this is a very bis and popular mod for Medieval 2 Kingdoms, not a "version" (usually what you mean is called an add-on) like Kingdoms added.
So let me get this straight... This mod, which is for Kingdoms, is basically the regular Medieval 2 campaign, revamped with more provinces and more selectable factions, including those of kingdoms?
@MilanKorr91 This mod adds about 1500 miles to the east (including the actual Iran), dividing the map in a lot more territories and including playable factions that were considered as rebels in the original game, it changes the existing units and adds more units (combat skill like the cavalry charge, textures, rectuitment sistem, etc...)...
Putting it straight to the ponit: It is like a new medieval 3 TW game.
most of the armour the knight had werent made for protection but for fear ,all armies since the beginning has relyed on fear of their opponents,a big shiny armour on a knight mounted on horse is a good way to set fear into the enemies, break morale and the battle is won,its a fact, same with warcry, face paint, dicipline other of the things armies has tried to set frear into enemies, sorry if my english isnt that good
@MrGatonegroish No. For the serious protection against slashes, arrow heads etc. Plus it's all over the body. Soldiers today carry 65+ on their backs sometimes. And anyways nobles like that would've trained for years so they'd have the figure and muscle to take it.
@MrGatonegroish True. I by no means mean to say that it doesn't have any disadvantages, but the a mailed knights makes one realize the futility of the strokes of his sword.
@ChristianWarriorUSA Even so, once his horse so much as tripped and three guys fell on him - bam, one of the king's loyal knights and trained soldiers is lost.
@number367 Yes and the worst part is they sometimes suffocated in the mud because they couldn't get up. And wait to see this asshole in an MMA video where I commented telling me that knights used freestyle wrestling in fighting. I was like "You do realize that they had armour weighing almost as much as themselves".
@number367 Knights after falling from there horse where still able to get up, but not quickly enough to defend themselves. The armor was made more flexible in reason for this, not only movement in battle. @DestroyerAlexandros You are probably thinking hand to hand fighting, well of course they did, if you gave a blunt hit to the head, knocking the enemy down, a "knight" would pull out hit dagger and stab up the armpit of the enemy. Sometimes the enemy would resist because of adrenalin.
@Dragnguard I'm afraid you're wrong a fully armored knight was not able to stand up when he had fallen of his horse, the chest piece only weight about 30 to 40 kilo's. The battle of agincourt proved this. The french knights fell over in the mud and just couldn't get up eventually drowning in the muddy fields. It does ofcourse depend on their armor but with full plate, It's impossible to stand up again.
@212conker212 1. There was mud involved. 2.Quote: "Do you seriously believe that anyone would go to war with an army whose soldiers were dead if they tripped?". 3. "Knights" would learn how to shift their weighted armor around even when they where a squire. Also, later in the centuries as they came, armor was made more light, yet people thought it was heavy because they kept thinking of "metal covering the whole body".
@Dragnguard 1. I suppose you make a good point on that, 2. Yes. They didn't die the second they would fall but more importantly neither sword nor arrow (not including crossbows btw) can pierce full armor, most battles went on untill one of them fell over and while he was laying down the other would start trying to squeeze his weapon between the armor untill he finds a nice fleshy spot. 3. under that "metal covering the whole body" there was another layer of mail wich was often even heavier.
I do believe so. Most of these mods you see are laid over and into the original vanilla game so if you wanted to play the original vanilla game (non-modded) you would also need to have the original loaded and saved into a folder with a different path.
@Skott62 Incorrect on that modding messing up the default game. I have three mods installed, and they have their own folders in the game. The default game by itself still works fine.
