I also need help with Studio Live 24.4.2. Im having trouble getting Studio One 2 to work on my mac and also looking for some hands on events, could you please message me with some links to send me in the right direction. Thanks :)
@Jossezinho Hey there, I recommend checking out the official PreSonus forum for community support! It's full of newcomers and seasoned audio pros alike, and you'd find the answers you're looking for in no ttime! I will DM you the link. Cheers!
hello, can you help me with something cause my studio one doesn't want to recored when i try it i don't know why so can you please write me back thank you (:
@OFCfaithtower That could be caused by a number of different things and would be likely very difficult to diagnose via YouTube commenting. I will DM you the link to our tech support pros!
Hello guys. I'm thinking of buying presonus studioLive24 , but I have a question. Can I use it with Cubase (or any other DAW) and assign my tracks to each channel on the mixer and do the mixing using studiolive's EQ, dynamics etc. ?
I mean, without having recorded the tracks using StudioLive 24.
awesome.. i was thinking on going with an analog board .. but i also do a lot of live sound so this is perfect for both worlds.. i love that you can use the internal processors and FX without them getting printed onto the DAW.... it saves alot of CPU. really cool board...
I have the studiolive 24.4.2..and its a amazing table but i need help....I do the sound for my church and they have the drummers headphones connected to aux2...can i talk directly into one of the aux's using the talkback feature, without having to talk to aux 1 and 2?
@DVGRRJM Are you an actual user? If not you have no merit to speak on such things. Reading an internet forum is only getting half a story at best. I've had the desk since it came out practically and I've had no problems at all, not one. Just bc there are people posting about problems, doesn't mean the majority of the users are unhappy. Be reasonable. It's a great board and my experience with their customer support was excellent.
@ledheavy26 Yes, I was an actual user until I had to return my 16.4.2 after a week of use. It locked up and failed completely. It was a shame, because I really liked the features and the sound. I work at a studio now that uses a 24.4.2 and thankfully it has worked flawlessly. IMO the 16 is more prone to failure. The 24s seem to have the bugs worked out. This is both from my experience and what I've read online. My personal experience with their customer support was TERRIBLE.
It is a very nice studio, all bought and paid for by hard working people at Sweetwater.
Unlike the sales personal at a CG Store that only recommend a product because it has more GAP (profit) the people at Sweetwater are very honest about what they think you need if you ask their educated opinion. Hmmmm very refreshing! Keith Schrieber is the senior sales person I have delt with for a long time.
And still, you see comments saying, OMG boohooo he runs Windows on the Mac, desecration!
Maybe we should really burn all these trolls. It's really boring to see that this bullshit is still around in 2011.
Anyways, I'm waiting Studio One V2 to see if Presonus adds a drum editor or step sequencer. It's the only thing that i need to switch because Studio One is really well thought, years ahead of Cubase in terms of ergonomy. It's a pleasure to use it.
what software is being used for this recording session? Is it just as easy to use Capture for studio stuff as it is for doing live recording? I've been using LOGIC, and I'm considering getting the StudioLive. If Capture is just as efficient, or easier to use, I'm interested....
Just fyi for anyone watching this video and getting any idea's about how to rig up mics for a session like this..If you have to add more than 3-4 db of gain/reduc. to any part of the eq then you need to switch mic position not add more phase distortion...just fyi again
I always laugh when some one says that a bit of gear is not "pro" What the hell does that mean? i've been recording for 20 years+ using every thing from portastudios to protools rigs. Who gives a shit if the gear is "pro" or not if you get the sound you like? Pro gear won't help if you play like crap and can't sing!! Remeber the beatles recorded Sgt Pepper on 4 track. Still sounds good!!
@flatstrat yes ofc but nobody knows how many 4 tracks! 3? 4?
remember:
the beatles recorded the basic track on a 4 track, transferd that to a stereo mix on another 4 track which uses the first 2 track and than they could do overdubs on track 3 and 4 (2 tape machines used) then they transferd all that to another tape machine and so on...
but your so right! the beatles made magic out of crap. that should be a model for todays artists...
Isn't it petty how snobby some people can be about "pro" gear? PreSonus are ace, Studio One rocks and those who get all wrapped up in anal "pro" land don't know what they are missing! It doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg just to qualify as "pro". Petty, petty, petty!!!
its a nice mixer. but presonus lacks in many ways. hence why their "pricetag" is smaller than others. but presonus does make some entry level gear. but pro by no means.
I would like to know if anyone out there using the Studio live with Pro Tools? I know it can't be a interface for Pro Tools, but I wanted to see if anyone is exporting audio from Capture into Pro tools and if you are, are you having any problems doing so? I am using M-Powered version of PT8 and wanted to see if adding the Presonus Live to my studio worth it? I do use other DAW's such as Albelton & Sonar. I am also thinkng about the Onynx 1640i but I think the Presonus is a better board.
say what you wanna say about presonus, butt tha gear that they make is really pro level gear. there preamps are clean as Fuck, & all tha hater out there, just don't know shit about recording engineering. just because u use a big price tag preamp, don't mean that you're music will sound like major production,
I love your videos. guitar Center ordered my StudioLIve 16.4.2 form Presonus. I 'll recieve It in 2 weeks. I'm stoked. i'm thinking about starting my own live recording buisiness with It here in Seattle to demo bands . Thanks so much!...Fred

after six months of life and the mixer is stopped, I discovered that Brazil has no warranty and I have to pay 700 reais to fix it.
