@bigballer2741 Wow your comparing a pool game to a bracket game, big deal. The Meteors peaked about a month ago, some of the players were burnt out after traveling and playing in 3, week long tournaments in a month. All teams have down times, ours was just at the wrong time. The Meteors are ranked over Raw Hide for 1 simple reason. They're better.
@JasonKnine just keep thinking what you want Jason....rawhide was 2-0 against meteors...both teams did about the same in disney....both teams are very good...but to think the meteors are heads and shoulders better than rawhide is rediculous...now we have a 3rd excuse why we beat the meteors....bats, not having all your players, and now you were tired and burned out..sounds like poor team managment to me...I hope you guys dont pay that guy to much....
@peteosborne2121 Check out TBS "who is the 14u national champion" blog. The Meteors are mentioned frequently by coaches and parents from around the country who know what the Meteors are capable of. NOWHERE is Raw Hide mentioned. Are the Meteors a #3 team? No probably not because of their end of season slump. But definitely a top 10 team. When we played you guys in Tennessee are top 3 pitches didn't pitch. 2 weren't there and 1 had a back problem and still does.
@peteosborne2121 Did you know the Meteors had a guest player from Illinois pitch against you. Who cares what bats some of your players used. That's not what really beat us. What beat us was guest players who couldn't fill the big shoes.You guys have a good scrappy team, hope you do well in the future. The Meteors by the way are done. JasonKnine and peteosborne2121: The games are behind you. It is obvious to me that both of your teams are very good and well respected. Just determine who's team is better on the field. Personally, i do agree with JasonKnine with the rolled bats. Smaller kids taking mediocre swings and hitting it 300 feet. A little bit fishy. But I don't play in either of your states and don't even play in your age group (1 year younger). Definetly post a video of the next time Meteors and Rawhide play.
@TheMRBaseballprodigy Meteors and Rawhide both ended up with the same record in Disney....Both lost to teams that they shouldnt have lost to. Good job to team Georgia who made a very deep run. Rawhide beat them soundly during the year which goes to show that all of these teams are so strong that which ever one gets hot at the right time could win it all. and as far as rolled bats go. we used the same bats in disney that we used all year and struggled to score at times. so no rolled bats
@TheMRBaseballprodigy .....Look at the film of the game between the meteors and Rawhide..when we are walking across after the game we are a bigger team across the board..we dont have any small kids so the idea of small kids hitting it 300 ft is silly...our shortest kid is a state wrestling champion and is beastly strong..our other guys are very solid as well and we all worked out very hard this winter..thats what makes it go 300 ft..short compact swings with strong kids swinging it..nothing else

MRBbaseballprodigy...we have a good 13u team here as well..the knoxville stars 13u are a very small team collectively but they can stroke it..have you ever played them..funny, theres probably someone out there right now acussing cory bates of using a rolled bat cause he is small but can hit it a very long way for a kid his size...I am very proud of our rawhide guys for having the pop that makes other teams accuse us of something that far fetched....lol...go rawhide
@peteosborne2121 When you watch a smaller player who half swings and has average bat speed send a ball over 300' it does seem odd. How many composites bats has this player gone through? My son and other players on the Meteors don't use composites because they break them. I will say composites do get better with age, maybe Cory's bat is getting ready to break. I've seen a few times where a player hit a bomb that even surprises him and his bat breaks soon afterwords.

I know enough is enough with rolled or composite bats that are ready to break but you have to check out the Elite 32 Meteors vs Beaver Valley Red video I uploaded. With runners on base a player took what looked to be a just make contact move the runners kind of swing and the ball rolled to the fence. Check out the field dimensions. Why is it that you don't see this with one piece aluminum bats?

metors are a very good team with alot of tradition and very well respected..but just dont know how to admit it when someone beats them...Rawhide beat them twice...peroid...and the meteors are very capable of beating rawhide..the only difference is rawhide will shake your hand and move on..we wont blame it on any bats or that you werent able to pick up all of your extra players for the weekend or any of that mess...not rawhides fault that you couldnt fly all your guys in that weekend

hum..you might outta check your scorebook..rawhide didnt hit any homeruns against the meteors..and the scores were 7 to5 and 10 to 9..never played the meteors to a 4 to 2 game..meteors shortstop was very solid..but its plainly in the video that the hit that won the game had alot more to do with the left fielder misplaying a flyball hit over his head.it had nothing to do with the bat..also in the video its plain to see that eawhide uses a variety of bats..I guess the vipers borrowed rawhides bats
