Wow, this song is so sad and nostalgic. Reminds me of childhood, and a simpler, happier time. Thanks so much for posting, VinylNostalgia. (Cool handle, BTW.) :-)
I used to lie in my bed at night and listen to this on WCFL in Chicago and wish I had a girl to love me. I was a lonely kid. Fortunately, I found that girl and we've been married 26 years. :)
@Justliquor oh my gosh, me too! WCFL and WLS in Chicago! Awesome 60's tunes living in Sauk Village Il! best childhood town that has now apparently gone to hell.
The New Colony Six played at my prom. They let some guys who were in a band use their equipment to play during a break. They guys played Suavecito. Great memories from 1972
Man, I have heard this in a loooong time. My older brother got it before he went into the Navy. When he got back out, 1972, all of his stuff he didn't already get went to San Diego (from Ks). The song still sounds good. Kind of forgot it until I saw i here. Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks for posting this song. this brings back such memories of 1969 when I was in South Vietnam. Songs like this one kept me going when things were tough, and I was far away from my wife. Thanks again!
These guys are alive and well and performing gigs around Chicago. Ronnie Rice, the lead singer at this time, is doing solo gigs, while the other guys, including founder Ray Graffia Jr, are doing shows including this and many other of their hits.

This was one of my first favorite songs. I remember hearing as a pre teen and thinking
how cool it would be to holding a girls hand, looking into her eyes and singing this song to her! Wild huh??!!

Brother, I was at TUY HOA, in 69.
when I left Cathy and I were going to get married. This was our song!
When I got home, she said we were two diferant people.
Im married and have kids, and love my life. But when Ihear this song, its like a time capsule!!!
