  • I much prefer the becker gavotte, but it seems like everyone likes this one better...

  • Im workin on this piece.

and I wish to own those hands ryt now. lmao

  • Dynamics and a steady tempo will help. Also, don't let your left hand fingers fly so far up, especially your fourth finger. Good work, though!

  • Never heard the Suzuki arrangement before. Thought you can play just a touch faster to give a livelier sound.

From the Orchestra Suite #3 by Bach after Air played with a string ensemble & horns. Heard a few note changes & double-stops added in the middle section... to turn Vln 1 into a Vln Solo part.

Don't know if the Suzuki arrangement did justice to the original piece?

  • is it viola?

  • nice piece! try to show different emotions in different parts. (there are ff, p etc.)

  • learn to play grace notes

    -S Huang.

  • Du bist echt toll.

  • Only problem I see is you dont have much for dynamics, and other then the ocassional little slip up its good

  • Respekt ;) Ich spiele selbst seit 1,5 Jahren und dein Geigenspiel hilft mir manchmal über so manche "ichweißnichtwieichdasspielensoll"-Problematik hinweg! Mach weiter so!

  • Trills are the hard part about this song.. Looks like you got that covered though, thumbs up! :]

  • ANd my great grandfathers violin witch was handmade also i was about to inherit it but it got stolen.

  • Wonderful! Thanks!!! Very helpful to me in learning this song.

  • oh, one more thing, in the beginning of the D section, the chord is a c sharp and e. But the revised bowings give much more the character of a dance, don't you think?

  • I posted a video of my six year old son playing this with the new bowings from the revised edition - quite different!

  • You got a talent!

  • This is very beautiful, and beautifully played. This helped a lot when learning this piece. The only thing I see wrong it that the 1/8 notes after the quarters are staccato

  • LOL, Beautyful i could cry, NOT

  • nah i mean the intoantion is wonderful

  • szkoda,że tyle fałszu..

  • thnx for the vid !!!

  • yay

  • beautiful i could just cry

  • lol

Ye sit is beautiful, but its not exacltly a sad song.

  • AWESOMW AS ALWAYS!!!! ;)

  • Du bist echt toll!!!

  • Danke :-)

  • haha. this was in my suzuki book :)

  • lol, are you in german, violinspieler. violin player.

  • could you play Knight Rupert?

  • my viola teacher always told me that at 1:46 to imagine a man demanding rent from a little old lady...

pay the rent, pay the rent NOW

but i have no money, but i have no money

    ...lol

  • whos your viola teacher?? my violin teacher told mr the same thing but she moved her name was laura owens

  • my violin teacher said to think of a man demanding for something and an old lady. i dont remeber exactly even though that was like 2 weeks ago.lol

  • i don't get it.

  • great playing! how do you do the trills? I really have a hard time performing them. i can't get past the third book of suzuki because of that problem (even though Gavotte by Lully has parts with trill).

  • Why is this video no longer available? I'd love to see it again-it really helps!

  • you play so beautyfull

  • the trills sounds so beautiful

  • what kind of violin is that? it has a rich sound.

  • It's an over 80yo factory violin from my father. I just used this one while "Zelda" (my own handmade violin) was broken.

  • hey

im playin this piece and i was wondering how u did the trills cos mine dont seem to sound right!!

ure vids r amazing btw i always listen to them whenever i get a new piece!!!thx a bunch!!!

  • I was going to ask the same thing. Same problem with mine. I have the new book 3 and the latest recording that accompanied it that Preucel did doesn't sound like those as written in the book

  • Wow! You're a great violinist, very talented of course. The vibrato and the trills really stand out for you.

  • that was really good! great vibrato!

  • Great and good to see work doesn't keep you from playing! :)

  • thanks, till now I play about 2 hours a day and it gives me more than work ever can do
