Never heard the Suzuki arrangement before. Thought you can play just a touch faster to give a livelier sound.
From the Orchestra Suite #3 by Bach after Air played with a string ensemble & horns. Heard a few note changes & double-stops added in the middle section... to turn Vln 1 into a Vln Solo part.
Don't know if the Suzuki arrangement did justice to the original piece?
Respekt ;) Ich spiele selbst seit 1,5 Jahren und dein Geigenspiel hilft mir manchmal über so manche "ichweißnichtwieichdasspielensoll"-Problematik hinweg! Mach weiter so!
oh, one more thing, in the beginning of the D section, the chord is a c sharp and e. But the revised bowings give much more the character of a dance, don't you think?
This is very beautiful, and beautifully played. This helped a lot when learning this piece. The only thing I see wrong it that the 1/8 notes after the quarters are staccato
great playing! how do you do the trills? I really have a hard time performing them. i can't get past the third book of suzuki because of that problem (even though Gavotte by Lully has parts with trill).
I was going to ask the same thing. Same problem with mine. I have the new book 3 and the latest recording that accompanied it that Preucel did doesn't sound like those as written in the book
I much prefer the becker gavotte, but it seems like everyone likes this one better...

Dynamics and a steady tempo will help. Also, don't let your left hand fingers fly so far up, especially your fourth finger. Good work, though!

Only problem I see is you dont have much for dynamics, and other then the ocassional little slip up its good

It's an over 80yo factory violin from my father. I just used this one while "Zelda" (my own handmade violin) was broken.
