  • good upload. at the end of the day hillary got his credit.

  • Hilary is a loser!!! Mate first man to reach the summit..what the f**k have you done..ppl like you need to be ********

  • @EvKrusty

Uhh, no. Each of the early expeditions failed due to high altitude and improper gear to handle it. You know the phrase "If Everest had been 1000 feet lower, it would've been climbed in 1924?" That's what that means!

  • @macgeek2004

Have to agree - it's unlikely that Mallory and Irvine could have summited in 1924, they'd used three quarters of their oxygen when they reached camp VI, much as I'd like to hope they'd made it.

  • awesome story

  • the whole Mallory thing is rubbish....any fool could get to the top of the mountain, coming back down safely from the summit was the true achievement. I feel for those first two that went up but turned back....clearly they could've got there but a successful return was too dicey and so selflessly aborted so that the next attempt wasn't merely a rescue operation. Its a shame the press got caught up in trivialities of who got there first because it truly was a team effort from all involved

  • That was absolutely magical

  • Hillary was a loser who made out to be the first to stand on Everest...he so wasnt

  • Hillary was a loser? Hillary was the first to summit Everest, what have you done?

  • @MrAdamizer Did you climb a 8000m peak? Do you know what high altitude means? Have you ever heard of HACE or HAPE? It is not ok to call someone a loser who climbed Mt. Everest in 1953 or today. The way you climb a mountain is different, but I don´t agree that someone is a loser climbing a 8000m peak.

I recommned you the Rest of Everest Podcast which is about Tibet and Nepal, but it´s also about altitude and the problems you are facing just getting to basecamp (!!).

  • @flowersnclouds

Have to agree - my old man went to basecamp in the late 1990's - became seriously ill and lost two stone in weight.

  • If Mallory made it first, then Hillary would be the first one who completed a climb, not just to summit.

  • @hatakashi1900 I don't think so. I guess somewhere around the 80's or 90's they have found his frozen body still trying to reach up. But Mallory never gave up.

  • @giriisindahouse

    1999 - at 26,750 feet

  • class and thanks

  • what a beautiful story
